Anyone listen to radio programs related to anime or VAs thereof, or wants to listen to them? A lot of them are available through the Onsen website and, more recently, on YouTube. Other places like Radiko are region-locked (i.e., need a VPN) or require a subscription.

They're all in Japanese (obviously) with very little resources for subs unless it's a fansub that someone uploaded on YouTube. Just curious what is the overseas viewership/demand for them.

I mostly watch clips of them on youtube if only because they're difficult to access by myself.

I listen from time to time on Youtube and on Hibiki Radio (which is not region locked by the way)
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

I've just recently discovered them through YouTube clips, and I'm glad I did. I sometimes check out what the algorithm sends my way. Some are very funny and insightful.

Thanks for telling me about Onsen.

But like you said, I can only watch fansubbed content as I don't speak the language.

I don't listen to that, at most I search for short interviews about specific roles they had like that one about Makima's role played by Kusunoki where she blamed the manager for that horrible performance. Hopefully in 20 years we'll get a remake and she can play how she wants.

Yes, I used to listen to them a lot 😆
I mainly listened to various series when one of favorite seiyuu or musician was a guest, but I had a few radio shows for anime series which I listen every episode ❤️
Now I listen them much less and mostly various fragments which I will find on YouTube.
Although lately I waited for specific episodes of a certain series like I used to 🤭

Cool stuff. Yeah the radio programs sometimes are treasure troves for behind-the-scenes stories of anime, like what went on in the recording sessions, etc. I think my favorite right now is the radio program for the Kaguya-sama series. Some of the mail that the listeners send in are hilarious.

There's a good chance that an anime will have or has had its corresponding radio at least during the course of the anime's airing. Not sure how long this has been a thing (probably since the 80s/90s), but I know of anime radios going back to shows like Clannad. Some voice actors/actresses also have their own independent radio shows too (e.g., Kana Hanazawa, Saori Hayami, Kenjirou Tsuda) to talk about their life, career, and other things once every 1-2 weeks. I've been listening continuously to different broadcasts since like 2018 and it's never ending lol they just keep coming it's practically an infinite stream of (mostly) free content.

I don't know if it counts, but I've watched a few translated clips like this where the seiyuu talk about their behind-the-scenes experiences.

Ooh yes exactly, stuff like this. Sounds like these are clips when Yuuji Kamiya brings in the heroines' CV to the radio to talk about the behind-the-scenes leading up to their being cast in the Monogatari series. I just took a quick search on YouTube for "seiyuu radio eng sub" and there looks like a lot of random clips from various anime radio broadcasts that people made fansubs for.

Yes those are so fun to watch too! It's great that they offer livestreaming for a lot of those kinds of events nowadays.
