 The official website for the television anime adaptation of Necoco's Tensei shitara Dragon no Tamago datta (Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling) light novel revealed a pair of additional cast, the theme songs, and main promotional video on Sunday. The anime series will premiere on January 10, 2026 at 9:30 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11.Voice actresses Rie Kugimiya (Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life) and Tomori Kusunoki (Isekai Mokushiroku Mynoghra) are joining the cast as Marielle and Black Lizard, respectively. Singer Sizuk (Isekai de Mofumofu Nadenade suru Tame ni Ganbattemasu.) is performing the opening theme song "Gliding Claw," with TAO and SAK performing the ending theme "Sky Clipper." Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below. Yuuta Takamura (Saikyou no Shienshoku "Wajutsushi" de Aru Ore wa Sekai Saikyou Clan wo Shitagaeru) is directing the anime at Ga-Crew and Felix Film, with assistant director Nobuyoshi Arai (Deatte 5-byou de Battle director). Tatsuhiko Urahata (Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri) is handling the series composition and Masahito Onoda (Nourin) is designing the characters. Kow Otani (Kenja no Mago) is composing the music. Necoco began penning the adventure fantasy light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2015. Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the novel under its Earth Star Novel imprint in December 2015, featuring illustrations by Naji Yanagida (Re:Monster: Ankoku Tairiku-hen). Square Enix acquired the novel and began publishing from the 13th volume under their SQEX Novel imprint in January 2021. The 16th volume was released in June 2022. Comic Earth☆Star began serializing a manga adaptation by RIO in September 2017. The eighth volume was published on January 10. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in November 2020. The 11th light novel volume shipped on July 3, with the 12th volume planned for a March 24, 2026 release.
