| 3 years time skip in episode 2 tf. First episode was edgy fun. This is just meaningless stuff mostly. Except Nazuna I would have fallen asleep. Looks like it's extra chapters but very horrible timing and also weird writing with skipping every development for such long time and only telling by flashback. By next episode it needs to get back on track. |

If you don't know where they come from, just watch the first episode again.
Or just check how they're presented when Mei talks about them at the start of the episode.
...and if it's not obvious enough, they're all summon from his gacha.

| @groudonvert yeah, I thought it's that because of the card things. But I would have wanted to kinda see the progress of summoning such girl from the gacha :DD for example, some scene of him pulling them out one by one. Of course we saw him get Mei, but you know. definitely felt like we were in a different ongoing show after the first episode. we shall see how it develops... |

| While i'm not 100% against this time skip, having zero knowledge of how he built this kingdom, got all those villagers down there, and who that dude is he was sparring with is kinda off putting. Like is everybody down there a gacha summoned by him? Or did he snatch villagers from the surface? Ah, whatever, just get to the revenge already. It better be good. Like Count of Monte Cristo cunningly good. |

Let's considere this episode doesn't exist and we're still on episode 1. The episode 2 starts with Light going to meet Aoyuki, Nazuna and Ellie (similarly to what happens in episode 2, except Jack doesn't exist, Mei is not there and he goes meet them alone or a random maid), we have the scene with the wolf, the mention of the beginning of the vengeance and we shift scene to Garou and episode 3 (what we will see next week) starts.
What would have been your reaction ?
I wouldn't have minded the anime following the Light Novel (or the manga) more closely, but I don't think the reactions would have been better from anime only.

| @groudonvert Seriously? This was infinitely worse. Sure, the same people would have complained about the timeskip, but at least we would have dove right into the revenge plot, here we have the same skip, and then what feels like an absolutely pointless episode, which it was, because these were nothing but bonus stories that belong at the end of a LN. |
