In many discussions I saw people calling Dr stone's many parts as illogical but I think we call it as cinematic flexibility.
The one part I wanna talk about is people asking why didn't Senku go insane after counting for thousands of years but the reason why he didn't go insane was that his consciousness faded every 9 (or 8) seconds and was able to count continuously.

Any thoughts on this topic will be appreciated.

It could be his thoughts of escaping eventually was greater than not escaping at all. It was enough to keep him from completing losing it and kept his sanity in check.

He knew he was frozen but not dead so there had to be a way out of it. That was enough hope to keep him going even for a long time.

Because it's a battle shonen, and each character has exaggerated traits. like how is suika able to fit her whole body in a melon, how does a high-schooler fight lions with his bare hands. if you start overthinking the shonen elements, you'll go mad. That and let's be real Senku is already insane from the very first scene we see him

Dr. stone is NOT a battle shounen. but yeah, it has the typical shounen tropes.

one because he's not real, and who said he's consciousness faded very 8 or 9 second, it never did, in resent episodes, revival fluid was used on him while he was counting 8 to 9 seconds. and the hole point of counting was to stay awake and not to lose consciousness.

and latestly yes Dr stone is illogical, it is an anime, and that's the reason we love it as it is. anime is all about imagination, it particularly doesn't need to be real or realistic.

Lol. is the counting more insanity inducing than being conscious, immobilized, and completely separated from all of your senses for a millennium? He was effectively trapped in his head. Counting might have Kept him from going insane in the larger context.

no it's not like that, it means that due to sleep deprivation and constant consciousness people can go insane (it's really happened) but you will see the real reasons in future episodes or in the manga👍

I guess because it's Senkuu, a young genius who is determined to finish what he started (here: counting), plus "the power of science", plus it made the plot cooler and allowed it to move forward.

He started to lose consciousness roughly around every 800, 000 seconds. But forces himself back again. it was mentioned in the series

Honestly, if I was counting all of the time then I feel like it would like take up most of my conscious mind and I wouldn’t be able to think much outside of counting. So thinking it was somewhat the same for him. Maybe counting just took up so much of his brain power since he was doing it long with such big numbers it probably didn’t give him the chance to think much outside of that. Much less think enough to go insane. Or so I think. I dunno tho
