Game and Watch spotted!

A good historical episode, showing how various appliances have evolved over time. The literal icebox style of refrigerator has a neat design, and earbuds are much older than I expected.

In the second half, cinnamon roll Sakurako surprisingly takes no prisoners with respect to rats, and uses her skills to save a local business. Is this love I'm feeling?

Two episodes remaining, final boss incoming! This series has really been something.

I'm a little bit sad that all those companies mentioned in this episode are not as great as they used to be in the past, except Sony but that's because it keeps evolving until it's nothing like what it was decades ago.

The rat part is quite violent.

Original ending incoming? I wonder if what's going to happen in the anime is in the original comic (which is still ongoing, with the ninth volume coming out at the end of this month).

Catching and smashing rats by hand sounds hard and needlessly brutal to me, so wouldn't it better to use rat poison to get rid of them?

They had quite the info dump explaining nearly every major Japanese tech innovation up to the 90s or so. I learned a lot and I even had some of those old products, like I had a more advanced Walkman and the little Tiger electronics portable game with the black characters against a constantly still background. My grandfather also had that laptop and it was HEAVY, like having a briefcase full of quarters in your lap :D. Also I didn't know they stopped making rice cookers with flowers on the side, my mom still uses ones. And it's also weird they had top loading washers with no rod in the middle :D

I also liked Sakurako's mice catching tips but I'm not so sure about needing gloves to hide human smell, like most food you'd leave around gets touched by people, like you could sweat all over a small bag of chips and they'd want to eat them. Also I thought Sakurako's tip for bagging a live mouse then smashing it against the wall really hard didn't make sense. It's difficult to get one to go into a bag if you're close to it and if it hears you coming it will run out of it. I don't like the glue traps either because they freak me out.

I had no idea about ultrasonic waves transmitting pleasant music to children. Tenkubashi looked a nonce when he was getting all those kids to follow him :D. Also I was surprised seeing Sakurako laughing evilly when Tenkubashi suggested the woman go thru the wifi data to spy on people, Tenkubashi is having a bad influence on her :D
Authentic.

I do love the look of old G3 iMacs

The fridge looks cool....pun intended

The earbuds definitely had to have had trash quality sound but interesting they are at least a decade older than I thought they were

Weird they didn't even mention live traps for catching rodents. Many people would not want to harm a small animal.

I hope I can find a Walkman laying around I am sure Ive seen one somewhere in my house that belonged to someone else.

Also that is kind of wild I never thought about the pide piper in logical ways that it may be an actual person who played a high pitched flute

The study group getting lots of electronic artifacts dumped as waste is unsightly, but if it's a mountain of treasure that people are willing to buy, then it's good revenue for them selling retro appliances. Even more so with Japan's retro boom of appliances with reputable manufacturers being good at what they do, though it depends on the application. So, a competition to see who can come up with the retro vibes and selling them online for good value, too bad Tenkubashi was about to be on the losing end, until one of them gets sold and Sonoko just hitting the pause button to bring her crush back to sanity lol.

Sakurako's demonstration on how people can dispose of mice, and sure, there's an old lady's place that's infested with mice that she's brought in to do the favour. And then there's the cat repellent high-pitch machine to wave off cats, though the frequency itself is too in range with children of amicable hearing that it also irritates them. Instead, the "Piped Piper of Hamelin" tune allowing more people to enter her space with free WiFi thrown in by Tenkubashi and the kids coming to the candy shop, it's a win-win for all.

Amidst all these though, the radical faction has been relatively quiet, until the black cat Octal decides to throw in the wrench. Guess it's about the ending, after all...
