I feel so bad for Toki. It's clear she just has very suppressed trauma from the incident that happened 10 years ago. Seeing her regret towards telling Kaoruko to quit made me sad.

Madoka and Subaru taught everyone a lesson of humanity. Prejudice and bias shouldn’t dictate the way we see others, and even more when we don’t know a thing about them.

The next move is going to "make or break it" for this manga. This whole conflict between schools is the founding stone for the story. The teacher (most probably from her) backstory incident better has to make some sense or it this whole story crumbles.
For now it was good to see some good sense from the principal. Now we can only wait hand hope for some good believable writing.

Looks like we may get a flashback about the incident soon, which probably involves the teacher too.

+ Madoka and Subaru's panel goes hard.

@Sten_PT the question is what kind of bodily harm are we talking about. in my opinion it is indirect bodily harm like suicide attempt

Not even the whole bodily harm thing? I would say getting assaulted by a group for their students and the situation being overblown by the school without justice would give her atleast a good reason to despise the whole school. Now if she should transfer her trauma on to a whole new generation of students and try to have a student unroll bcz of it then no

I bet that there is some ulterior motive behind the collision between kikyo and chidori since there is no way that students will harm their coevals like nothing happened.

All things are pointing toward Toki being assaulted 10 years ago by a Chidori student; whether the animosity toward Chidori is chiefly driven by Toki, with the administration going along out of guilt remains to be seen.

Kudos for not instantly resolving the issue, and for the "side girls" sticking up for their friends(was there any doubt? :' ))

There just so much emotion and depth to their teacher's character, which is finally being explored and explained. I can't wait to know more about her and what really happened in the past.

or could also be something like her best friend that was the victim, and maybe toki was in a subaru kind-of role, but she couldn't help her friend then and now feels the need to do so with her students. just throwing out my guess.

I feel like most people arent really appreciating all that this chapter offers. Yes, the girls were great here ‘specially madoka GO OFF GIRL!! But there are some really subtle things shown throughout the past chapters and now it’s paying off. First things first the school president drawn in the last chapters and also the other teachers it can really be seen that they have conflict with chidori for sure but its not as much as toki sensei and guess what all of those guesses i had about these characters.. were RIGHT! Then we have Toki sensei and wow how she was drawn in this chapter was so full of emotion saka mikami killed it. We can really see her head down as the girls talk back what are the things she feel? Is it the feeling of madness not accepting what the girls are saying because of some sad trauma she had? Probably is but we don’t really know. And these little things are always so interesting to try and interpret. Then my fav part from this chapter was when Toki sensei went into the bathroom we were to then shown a picture of the hopeless eyes kaoruko had as from Toki sensei’s pov then we cut to a panel of her lips which convey sadness and WOW I LOVE THIS. Yes, she does hate chidori but from the field trip we can see that she can be happy that her students have fun. And connecting that to this just as a prediction she might just feel bad that she made kaoruko show that face. Thats all I wanted to say lol pretty long but wow i loved this

I have 2 theories about Toki-sensei and Chidori-Kikyo incident 10 years ago.

1st theory: she was the victim of that incident. She may had a toxic relationship with Chidori student when she was a Kikyo student. She may r*ped and abused by Chidori student and Chidori teachers and principal don't handle this case in a good way. That may resulting a grudge with Chidori.

2nd theory: Her best friend was the victim. I tend to see this theory would be happen. I don't know why but Toki-sensei and Subaru has some similarities.

I also suspect that:
- Incident 10 years ago maybe had similarities with Rintaro-Kaoruko relationship. Smartest Kikyo kid had a relationship with a Chidorian.
- Ayato's brother knew that incident, as a Chidorian or as a police.
- This incident was a crime thing.

I don't know. That were just my wild imagination.

I doubt it's the first scenario though. R*p* would really clash with the tone of this manga. Because for all its attempts at realistic inter-relationships, the story has remained fairytale-ish, so something so uncomfortable and traumatic would not mash well. I think it's probably the latter, her friend having gotten hurt... but not in SA way. Because again, I doubt the author would want to change the tone from 'happy/cute' vibes to that.

The last three episodes, including this one, have started to feel excessively empty. If this continues, I'll take a break; it's starting to make more sense to save up episodes and watch them later...

boy oh boy im getting more excited about this.. the "incident" surely left a scar to kikyo to the open where the openly hate them.. i hope this is a good reason since they already build up this far.. i can only assume the next chapter will be about toki sensei backstory.. where something happend to her student where she feel guilty to the point where she hate chidori so much that she didnt want any of her student get involved with chidori at all.. with that being said the other teacher doesnt seem to take this very serious tho.. left me curious as to why they didn't act the same as toki did..

We are getting some good backstory now I guess it was either Toki or one of her very closest friends got harmed that's what made her hate them so much. Next chapters are gonna be soo interesting...

After reading this chapter, I honestly feel like this manga deserves a 1/10 rating. The plot just doesn’t make any sense anymore. I can understand if there was a rule saying you’re not allowed to date anyone at all—but saying 'you can’t date someone from Chidori' feels completely unreasonable. It goes beyond simple discrimination; it’s like saying you can't date someone just because they’re Black or from a certain region, It honestly feels like the author is just trying to drag the story out and give us some cheap, forced drama. Instead of meaningful development.

Yep 10 years lines up with something happening to sensei. I'm now even more sure she has some history with them.
