| Oh, somehow I missed this news. Real life duties surely can be absorbing... ... but after seeing the teaser, I'm disappointed. Not because it's CGI, even though I'd have preferred 2D animation. It just looks mediocre at best, underwhelming at most. Like a bizarre blend of motion comic intertwined by poor-looking CGI put here and there. At least Kenshiro's VA sounds good. |

| @Runasius That's what worries me too. Teaser quality aside, after all this time, we still only know the absolute basics: three voice actors for the main roles, a general glimpse at the art style - and that’s it. If the anime is scheduled for release sometime in 2026, then putting the pieces together, it feels like this might be a low-priority project rather than a major production. It would be a real shame if that’s the case. |

| @bastek66 It was one of the possibilities, sure, but Hokuto no Ken is Hokuto no Ken, after all. It's an iconic classic, no question about it. Just because something shares the same universe doesn’t automatically mean all the works within it should be treated as equals. I haven’t really watched Souten no Ken beyond a bunch of clips, and... well, as bad as the teaser looks, there’s still a good chance this HnK anime might end up looking better than the one you mentioned. It's not hard to imagine, as the bar isn’t exactly high. But hey, there’s nothing wrong with looking for the positives in something. ;D |
