Summer is going to be fucking packed. I'm barely watching more than 2-3 seasonals from the past few seasons but summer is going to be my first season in a whole year where I'm looking forward to so many animes.

We have my dress up darling, dandadan, kaiju-8, call of the night, tate no yuusha, and BUNNY GIRL SENPAI bro i'm waiting for years for it, not to mention grand blue and rent a gf as well <3

I can't wait for summer man. most packed season i've seen in a whole year.

compared to that spring seems a little bland, no?

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

I don't care about the newer anime shows being released. I like watching the older ones.

Every season has its fair share of anime that turn out to be decent/good even if I never heard about them before, so I'm not worried about Spring.

The only sequels from Summer 2025 I look forward to are 7th prince s2, pokemon concierge part 2 and to a lesser extent Rent a Girlfriend s4.

Yeah summer is absolutely packed. My dress up darling S2, Kaoru Hana, Grand Blue's grand return, Watari kun and so many more amazing anime and sequels lined up.
The new Demon slayer movie will also be releasing in Japan this summer so its going to be quite eventful.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

I rarely watch airing series, only usually watch completed ones but nonetheless spring is pretty packed. Fire force, Lazarus, MHA spinoff, windbreaker, TBATE potential darhorses in Your forma, kowloon generic romance etc. then for ONAs you've got lycoris recoil, moonrise and to be hero x, definitely a pretty good season

@TsutanaiFuun Summer is about to bring the real heat— the soaring Dubai like temperatures is gonna roast cities like London and New York !
But this summer is practically a festival for anime fans who can afford running air conditioners on full blast all day.
The anime lineup is absolutely stacked, ready to keep everyone indoors like neets

I've been averaging out 100 anime per year plus any sequels, movies, ova etc. since August 2018 but wow!!!! Fall 2024-Summer 2025 I have at least 130 shows and climbing as shows on my waiting to air list get added. I am beyond busy but I may have to start consistently watching more than my 4 eps per day if I ever want to catch up to it all. I just got under 1500 on my watch list then got slammed with multiple sequel seasons. Wish me luck. By the end of July this year or sooner, I'll have hit my 700th documented anime.

In my case, I anticipate that I will watch about the same number of series for both spring and summer seasons this year.
As for which one is going to be 'better' or have more 'good' stuff, I'll have to wait and see.

I'm personally more excited for some of the brand new adaptations, but I can't deny that the season's packed with some really big shows. Insane that there's gonna be a Grand Blue S2, I need to watch the first season already.

It does look like it’ll be a really good season. There’s 8 sequels that I know I’ll be watching for sure, and Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu is based on one of my favorite manga, so I’ll definitely be watching that. Other than those, I’ll probably be following around 15-20 more, since a lot of the new anime seem like they’ll be pretty good.

It does look like an insane season in many respects, but it looks very heavy on sequels.

Spring actually looks as good as Summer when it comes to new shows. There are a ton from Spring that sound really interesting to me: sci-fi, detective, romance, music, travel/chill, etc.

I'm definitely going to be sampling a lot of shows in the coming weeks, probably around the same number as Summer.

I haven't looked at any chart or collection of information pertaining to the series airing in summer because we're just ending winter and just about to start the spring season soon, and I rarely look into an upcoming season much earlier than around halfway through the season preceding it at the earliest (sometimes much later than that and up to less than a week or even a day before watching any of the new season's airing series). So I probably won't be looking all the way into this summer in any degree of depth until at least mid-May.

But regarding continuing or returning series, I don't think that there is anything which pertains to me. The Apothecary Diaries season 2, which started in January and aired through the winter, is another two cour run like its first season, so that will be airing through and finishing up by the end of spring. Anything else continuing would be two or more cour series from spring, but I haven't even checked in detail how many episodes each of the series I've selected to try out for spring are slated to have.

And I don't think that any other series I'm following will be returning. Never watched My Dress-Up Darling, Kaiju No. 8, Bunny Girl Senpai, etc. Dropped Dandadan after the first episode (wasn't necessarily through any major fault of the show or me finding it outright bad though - just originally thought it was going to be a much different show and am not personally a fan of the genres and styles it encompasses).

And series like Yofukashi no Uta I did watch and complete the first season, weekly as a seasonal when they aired, but don't care for enough to continue with and watch future seasons of. There are a number of series like that - ones I don't drop midway through their first season, but don't plan to return to and continue past. For example, Shangri-La Frontier which I believe just finished airing. I watched the first season in its entirety, but am not enamored enough with the show to want to continue.

Summer 2025 is going to be big for sure, but the past 2 seasons were more packed for me. I'm only going to watch Gachiakuta and DanDaDan S2.
