@Chronocrome incorrect, your interpretation is based on these two words "main forum" from that bullet point i quoted earlier. just report your own post NOT in English and find out what the moderators say to you. that will give you the official answer.

because the moderators' interpretation in the past, has been "main forum" means ALL public posts on MAL in the Forums. ALL. so sorry, NO it is NOT permitted to use any language OTHER than English on PUBLIC Forums. since ALL Forums on MAL are able to be read by the public. clubs only Forums or those locked by moderators for various reasons can still be READ by the public. they just can't be added to or altered except by the appropriate persons.

if you have read ANY other non-English language on Forums, that is merely because the moderators haven't gotten to the Violation Reports or nobody cared to Report the content.

episode reviews? no we're NOT discussing episode reviews. those are DEFINITELY English only! since they're posted on the 'front page' of database entries. the entirety of MAL is based in the USA, it is populated by a vast majority of Americans and English competent international members. therefore MAL's official language is English.

THIS WEBSITE IS ENTIRELY RATED PG-13. meaning NO content grossly and obviously more mature than is appropriate (world wide) for those under the age of 13 is permitted on MAL. non-English writings can easily slip through automated word search and flag/tag HTML daemons. unless MAL's corporate owner has splurged for AI translation-based word-search algorithms. this would also cover criminal acts, threatening writings, extremism, racism, bigotry and other etc. writings not in English.

in the past an Austrian friend of mine discussed this 'English only' policy for MAL with me. he mentioned some Clubs ARE permitted to use one specific foreign language. during these Clubs' formations MAL granted SPECIFIC PERMISSION due to the Clubs being CREATED FOR non-English fluent otaku to gather and interact in ONE language within that Club. Club owners, officers, and members are tasked to act as moderators (or became MAL mods themselves) and monitor their Club members' writings to ensure they follow the rules. since i don't interact with Clubs, i don't study up on the rules and whatnot. i just know what one friend of mine mentioned to me.

you got a problem with your comments being removed? have you requested a review of the moderators' actions? have you been targeted or discriminated? have you followed all the rules? if you don't do the follow-ups and due diligence it is your own fault. just because 'somebody' said something 'similar' doesn't mean your non-word-for-word copy of 'their' comment is 'safe'. you're just making excuses to use your native language or violating the rules or whatever you think you're doing.

i haven't reported you because frankly, it isn't important enough for me. just go report yourself or message MAL's Team and you'll find out i'm right.

@HappyFappy look at the content placed on MAL for this adults-only title, and all other H titles. all ALL images are censored. CENSORED not edited. no descriptions or synopsis have graphic statements in them. if you don't think a 13 year old kid can't click 'yes i am over 18' on a porn site's popup and lie... and watch live action videos even without a credit card for age validation... or go on an actual pirating H anime streaming site and find uncensored titles with no pixelation...

@KiliianSleipnir I can understand the argument for underage kids/teens seeing H titles on MAL being a bad thing, but this series isn't much different.

I re-checked a bunch of titles just now to make sure, but since I've been using MAL for over 10 years I more or less was already certain, tons of other H titles have the same method of censorship.

A lot of them also have a synopsis that either directly or indirectly mention something lewd. I guess the art could always be more censored, but I don't think it really matters tbh

yup, folks always have the option to Report content for being not-age appropriate and other stuff. also, since MAL has 'a corporate overlord' the content, operations, etc. will have to meet more 'rules and regulations' than just some free gathering of enthusiasts operated by unpaid volunteers.
