Anyone ever requested an arthouse independent/indie movie theater to screen an anime film of your choice before?

Nowadays people don't know that they can request arthouse independent/indie movie theaters to return an anime movie of their choice as they rely on anime film distributors to return their anime movies on a certain time. Which is why arthouse independent/indie movie theaters are there for a purpose which is to screen old movies including old anime movies including those that were shown in a limited basis. Requesting arthouse independent/indie movie theaters can contribute to their business and anime industries so that it shows how huge anime screening is in demand these days.

Who would want to rent a theater just to see a Blu-Ray copy of their anime movie? Renting a theater is so expensive that it isn't worth it and to think twice is about it is another reason why you should request instead of renting. People would later know that renting a theater would be a way to watch anime movies while in reality you don't need to as anime movies are already licensed and have accessibility to be screened at an arthouse independent/indie movie theater.

The difficult part when you request is that you have to wait before being notified about the film's acceptance that will depend on the arthouse independent/indie movie theater's standards, license status of the film, and the possibility of asking the licensors and distributors of what to proceed forward.

When it comes to your experience, were you able to successfully get your film accepted? How long did you have to wait? Was the attendance turnout successful? Would you do it again? If rejected, did you request again? Did your theater afford inviting guests such as voice actors, writers, directors, musicians, and artists to increase the attendance turnout? Did you request it on an anniversary? What did you learn from requesting an arthouse independent/indie movie theater to screen your anime film?

With that said, requesting arthosue independent/indie movie theaters to screen anime films needs to be spread and exposed more so that more arthouse independent/indie movie theaters will increase in demand, get our voices heard to anime industries/licensors/distributors, increase presence in anime communities like cosplay, conventions, and clubs, and to give an additional day(s) for screening of limited screenings before it becomes extended. The future of anime film isn't dark and yet we've got ways to go before we can reach to the light at the end of the tunnel that will maintain the future of anime film stronger than ever!

No suchs things as arthouse independent/indie movie theaters here.
Though I wish they'd screen anime films here like they'd do in the US. I don't need my own country subtitles when English works fine so I don't understand why they don't do it.
All other shit cartoony crap is screened here, with other shitty movies.

Before I actually watched anime, my girlfriend at the time wanted to go see Howl's Moving Castle at a local arthouse theater that happened to be showing it for a week. Definitely a superior experience to watching anime at home. We ended up watching Spirited Away later that year too at another theater. Good times.

Pretty sure smaller theaters rent out their screens if you have $$$ for it. No idea how much that costs though.

Yeah, that's an idea that hasn't really occurred to me before although I was aware of this being a thing. Maybe one day I'll do this since there are anime films that I would like to see on a big screen.
