Spring 2024 Clash of Unsupported Shows - Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai vs Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote - Match 6

I've been slow to warm to this series, but especially as it has developed its intrigue, it's become more of a stand-out series that deserves more attention. It's certainly one of the more interesting worlds of the season and it has a great deal of complexity to its setting and characters.

How dare my current #4 slot be this list! The characters, story, setting, and INTRIGUE far outshine so many other shows this season/year. Elegant and intelligent.

My favourite show this season as of right now! A beautiful palace setting (continuing on the Apothecary Diaries theme), fine and strong lines for the characters. A lot of drama with an intrigue that doesn't take you by the hand (so much I'd nearly need a refresher or notes before every episode so maybe binge-worthy?) and a very little touch of fantasy. Tbf wasn't expecting that few of attention towards this show (by Studio pierrot) that totally deserves the hidden gem title for now and hopefully beyond!

Filled the empty Apothecary Diaries hole in my heart. A pretty fair alternative to it.

A treat for all seiyuu fans who want to see some insight into seiyuu work. Although it feels a bit exaggerated at times, the general worries, concerns and treats for the characters are rather real, similarly with how the workflow and side activities of seiyuu are represented. Both characters feel real when working together, I can see Itou Miku having fun with the show, especially considering the fact that she seems to like radio activities which are part of this show.
