Dat fourth wall break.

ARMs really are a double-edged-sword. You have to hope they harm the target more than they harm you.

Wow, so this episode was kind of a big info dump overall. Tons of stuff happened, stuff that probably should have been spaced out over way more episodes, and it was a bit strange. We are introduced to Falgaia and the commander Valeria, and it is then revealed that ROOF is connected with the nation and the leader. Valeria may want to get rid of ROOF? We also see Laila, apparently alive, training in a messed up underground facility where people are cloned or modified using cells (or something) from Keanu, the King of the Evil Race. It's not working, and the people who are being made, intended to wield ARMs, are being killed by the weapons. Keanu and Sheyenne might be Laila's children? Or maybe she was talking about those clones/modified humans? Most of the stuff in this episode was totally unknown to the viewer before, so it's jarring having both the first appearance of something and then a twist about it a few minutes later; it would have been way more impactful if we had been introduced to this nation early on and then seen the rest unfold over time.

We did see some actual Wild Arms stuff again. Valeria is a character from WA2, and Luceid is a recurring Guardian. There was also something about Sheyenne having the greatest Guardian Factor, which is a power, possessed by everyone in different quantities, that allows him to use ARMs effectively. Guardians are the deities of the Wild Arms world, but here it might be different. I'm not sure what a Guardian Factor is, nor am I sure what a goddess is. I think that the latter might just be a symbol for Falgaia; perhaps the reveal will be that the people need the Guardians instead of a manipulated woman forced to be a war goddess. Another weird thing is that Falgaia is a nation in this series instead of being the planet (Filgaia in North American localization; Fargaia in Japan). At least, I think it's a nation. After the initial scenes with Valeria, there's another scene that says that he intends to conquer all of Falgaia with ROOF. Doesn't he already have it? Is "he" someone else? I continue to find it really weird that characters and other bits are just being pulled out of games and placed in this series in incongruent ways. So much of this really feels like it could have just been its own thing.

I'm really curious about Guardian Factors, Luceid, that headgear, the goddess, Valeria, and more. Even if this was a clumsy episode, it had me interested in what will happen over the remaining episodes. I have some thoughts on what Valeria is gonna do based on his role in Wild Arms 2. I'm not really sure how the creators are going to fit all of this stuff into the last six episodes of the show.

Finally, the scenes with the ladies on the submarine were really funny. Nice fourth wall breaking! I was also pleased that other episodes were actually mentioned.
