| Who knew Ten step hill was named after the resort Ruoping wanted to visit in the past life. Just as Tan’er and Yi Ning were in the moment at the Ten step hill, an assassin attacks them and injures Tan’er. The short man fends off the attacker while Yi Ning rushes Tan’er to safety. Tan’er wakes up with memories from Ruoping’s life in the modern day and she mentions everything like the poem Yi Ning recited to the crowd in the pavilion. Turns out that she died in a car accident straight after leaving Yi Ning before Yi Ning died in hospital, what a sad and unforgiving past life. I think they could’ve made this a more meaningful series if the characters were developed more before this scene played out there is a lot of potential. I think they decided to make it the typical drama/fantasy/romance series so it didn’t carry much emotional impact. Still a good watch, something more about the characters than the story. |
