| The season's winding down in the next few weeks, so wanted to get an idea of what folks found to be worthwhile titles for this season that I should consider giving a shot. Sequels to long-running franchises that I haven't followed are off the table if I haven't been following them. But otherwise, open to mostly anything. | Of the 31 I planned to watch I've only picked up 16 (so just over half...). Here's my opinion of what I've picked up so far: **Tsurune 2 (7/10. A nice continuation of the first season and if you enjoyed the first season and are a fan of sports anime then I definitely recommend that you give this one a go) *Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei (6/10. Shoujo-ai isekai. I'm generally iffy with shoujo-ai as I've only actually enjoyed one other than this series, but this one is entertaining. If you like isekai and you either don't mind shoujo-ai or outright like it then give this one a go) *Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi (5.5/10. Isekai and not your typical OP isekai, but the guy does have an ability that leads to him getting some OP companions via a Fenrir and very special slime. Again, nothing particularly unique about it, but it's still entertaining so if you enjoy isekai then give it a try) Isekai Nonbiri Nouka (5/10. And yep, it's another isekai. What can I say... I'm isekai trash and I enjoy the hell out of them even if they're run of the mill like this series. This one also has a harem as well so take not of that if you don't like harem anime. It's very run of the mill, but mildly entertaining) Bofuri 2 (5.5/10. It's not as entertaining as the first season, and just the slightest bit annoying, but if you did enjoy watching the first season then maybe give this one a chance as well. Nothing particularly special about it though) *Saikyoou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki (5.5/10. Another isekai. OP MC who was the top onmyouji in his last life and it made him lonely and got him killed. He vows to not stand out in his new life and make someone else stand out as #1 instead. He's still very much OP, but tends to hide most of his abilities. It's entertaining so if you enjoy isekai then try this one) Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou Liselotte to Jikkyou no Endou-kun Kaisetsu no Kobayashi-san (5/10. It's not an isekai for all this it kind of feels like one. I enjoy this series for the most part, but every now and then end up annoyed. It's decent) Benriya Saitou-san Isekai ni Iku (4/10. It's an isekai. And one I put on hold because, quite frankly, it's just annoying) The Misfit of Demon Academy 2 (2.5/10. This was the first series that I outright dropped of the season. I watched 4 episodes and... it just kept getting weirder and weirder. I enjoyed the first season, but the second is just absolute garbage) *Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko 2 (5.5/10. Another isekai. This second season feels more like a slice of life than last season, but if you don't like 'Gary-Stu' style MC's then this series is most definitely not for you. I like this series, but there are time where the MC does grate on my nerves) Eiyuu-ou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu: Soshite, Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi (5/10. Reincarnation anime where they OP MC is reincarnated in the future as a girl when he/she was a guy in their last life. She's not entirely sure what's going on as the world is a very different place as to when she was last alive and has no idea what happened to their former kingdom. She's also almost always looking for a fight and is a huge glutton for food. It's not terrible, but nothing special so watch it if you're bored, but don't expect much) Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-manmai no Kinka wo Tamemasu (4.5/10. Another isekai and really nothing special, but if you enjoy isekai then go for it. But the MC is kind of annoying. Pre-warning) *Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai wo Sukuu you desu (5.5/10. A series that feels like an isekai, but isn't. I actually find this series fairly entertaining and if you enjoy series that feel like isekai without them being isekai then you might like this one. Some of the characters can be mildly annoying though. Pre-warning) Shin Shinka no Mi 2 (2/10. Isekai. And a big giant f-ing pass. The only reason I even started it was because I'd watched the first so I was like 'why not' and now since I'm more than halfway through I figured I'd just stick it out, but it's sheer torture! Do not watch this one. It's so, so, so, so, so bad!) Toutotsu ni Egypt Shin 2 (3/10. It's a short series and not a good one, but the episodes are short and if you've seen the first part of the series then why not? It's not good though. Not. At. All) *Zhongguo Qi Tan (5/10. Chinese donghua based around 8 Chinese folk tales. Now the tales themselves are all interesting. My issue is that every episode has a different style of animation and some of them are just outright garbage animation. If not for that I would've perhaps gave the series a 6.5/10 instead of a 5/10) |
