| While it was nice to see more of Chairman Jiang and her past with Redtooth, it was odd to get that here of all places. It kind of breaks the flow of the narrative, though I guess that isn't new to this series. I am just not sure if it was worth spending an entire episode delving into their backstory when we already got a good grasp on their backstories in season 2. There wasn't much new information that we didn't already know before. That being said, it was still a very good episode and I sympathize with both characters even more now. I guess this is what led up to the end credit scene last season where Redtooth revives in the red pool of blood. Risky move on the Chairman's part, but she still loves him enough to risk it apparently. It kind of seems like this season is jumping randomly between characters and time, which is a little disjointing. However, hopefully all these characters and plot points come together and result in a very thrilling season finale later down the line. |

I HIGHLY agree regarding this matter, especially how you make a comparison to Gintama. In a way, these two shares a close resemblance in that they're comedic shows with serious actions along with an MC who has an 'interesting' past 15/1/2025 This backstory is incredible, Chairman Jiang's backstory is the most tragic kind of tale. It's always sad to listen to a blooming romance that never came to be. She is caught between a rock and a hard place, while the feeling is mutual with Quan, her duty and expectation from her master necessitate her from depriving herself of the potential happiness and love she pursued that road with him. And the demonic possession came at such a horrible time. Had it happened after her master's death, Chairman Jiang would've been the official master of the sect, maintained her standing and retained her youthful figure. They should've made this ep couple of seasons ago, the placement is off just as is the case for ep 4 |

| The end music of this episode is magnificent. But I have to admit I never saw this storyline coming. It felt totally out of place, but then this season has been one surprise after another. |

| I couldn't care less about that villain, he should have died in the previous season. Not only are the episodes getting shorter, but they are also being wasted on boring side stories... This donghua did not meet my expectations, the first two seasons were great, but it went downward from there. They avoid the main plot as much as they can to stretch out this anime, over half of the season and practically only 1 episode was about the main character and the storyline didn't move forward at all. I feel sorry for those who had to wait for 2 years for this... The only positive is that each season brings even better OSTs. |

| not sure how I feel about those side stories... I'd rather see some more development of the main plot but the episodes are still good. I hope they will somehow be relevant for the season finale or smth? |

| This season seems to not be focused on Seven at all whatsoever, but I don't mind it one bit if each episode punches you in the gut just like this. I'm guessing we're getting some backstories done about some characters on the island before a big showdown with White Fox. We also have the fight between Green Pheonix and the Shadow Killer leader which we don't even know the outcome of yet, right? Lots of moving parts, but hopefully they come together seamlessly. Also let's take just take a second to admire the OST. I love how they change up the ED sometimes, or rather a lot of times, to better fit the tone and mood of the episode. Shows that they really care about the story they are getting across. All too often in anime you might get a real somber episode only to have the tone-deaf up-beat ED start playing right after. Not the case here. All of the soundtrack is great, (even the corny re-used ones during some action scenes lol, it's just kinda funny) and the really find the right song to play at the right time. |
