| These kinda romance mangas>>>>>> I didn't have to wait for like a 100+ chapters or so before some actual progress begins. In just 38 chapters we get to see so many developments and a bunch of wholesome and cute moments too. I love the characters in this manga!!! And so far it's been a great story. |

| Hahahaha from the first page… Waguri: “Are you hungry?” — I laughed out loud, thank goodness no one in the library noticed me… I had to pause reading just to write this down. There’s no way Waguri would ever forget about food… Alright, I’ll go back and finish the chapter now, then continue the commentary. I’ve finished the chapter… but before commenting on anything else — I need to pause and praise Waguri... Yes, I know, I praise her in every chapter. Yes, I know you’ve read it a million times… I get it! But guys!!! Waguri is pure joy! One smile from her and you’ll find yourself smiling without realizing it! That’s actual magic! I swear I’ve watched 300 anime series — maybe 400 or even 500, I don’t know! — but I’ve never seen a character who makes me smile involuntarily like Waguri does! I’ve never cared this much about a female anime character — the way she’s drawn, her outfits, her personality, her height, her birthday… everything. Even while I was in the library, someone came up to me and said, “You’ve been smiling the whole time — I hope you always get happy news.” (Poor guy didn’t realize I was just reading manga 😂😂) And I’ll say it again — this series owes its success to three things: Waguri — the most important. If you love her, you’ll love the series. Wholesome romance & values — There hasn’t been a single revealing outfit, no fanservice, lots of focus on good traits like apologizing, smiling, honesty, and many moral values I can’t even list right now. There's also plenty of direct romance — just sincere "I love you"s, like we got in this chapter. The mangaka’s talent — Amazing art, strong storytelling, blending both shounen and shoujo styles. The art is clearly feminine and elegant, while the pacing is tight and fast like a good shounen — no dragging out the romantic fluff. Okay, after that long, heavy praise session — let’s actually talk about the chapter, haha: Once again, Rentarou surprises us and tells Waguri that he loves her and wants to be with her more. He says he draws strength and courage just by being near her. He told her he realized he loved her because being apart from her made him feel lonely. He’s being totally honest about his feelings — and I think in that moment, Waguri saw the man of her dreams. A dream guy, telling her he wants to date her — how could she possibly say no? Of course Waguri says yes — and from here, or probably in the next chapter, the first season will end along with volume five… We’re in for a strong season, honestly. And to be honest, the chapter itself was pretty average! I mean, how many anime scenes have we seen just like this one? But what makes it one of the most beautiful chapters? Waguri. I could keep praising her from now until tomorrow and still not be done. Now let’s move on to the big one — Chapter 39! Maybe I’ll keep praising Waguri there too, haha. |
