| Hinako's mum is clearly resentful of her husband so I understand her desire for Hinako to avoid going through the same thing, but trying to pressure Hinako to get married seems like it would result in the opposite of that? Being in a hurry to marry anyone who seems "good enough" is how you get marriages that fall apart. I'm glad Hinako stood up for herself against her mum. Seems like she always kept quiet and took whatever her mum threw at her. I think the difference this time was that she wasn't just defending herself, she was defending Asahi as well. Her mum was worried she was "led astray" by Asahi as if Asahi was some manipulative person and Hinako wasn't going to let her mum believe that. That's totally how it works btw - you become gay by someone else manipulating you to be gay. It's just a phase and once that person is gone, you'll be on the right path again, "the straight and narrow". |
