Ok. So I recently finished watching Backflip and I loved it! Im looking for anime/animes that have a boy group (preferably) with an episode/s with a struggle or something dramatic that happens with one of the characters. Kinda hard to explain.

Examples of what I mean by struggles:
From Free: when Nagisa wanted to stay at harukas house and Makotos because he couldn’t stay in the club.
From Idolish7: when Mitsuki was upset because he though people didn’t like him.

This info could be wrong, this is just what I remembered lol
I think I’m trying to find something with the team/character being there for the other as a group or helping a friend through hard times.
Idk pls help lol
Thx ~Kaga

You might be interested in Tsurune. It’s about a co-ed high school archery club (though they do focus more on the boys in the club). I think it hits a lot of those story beats you mentioned, especially the overcoming challenges with the help of friends. Might be worth a watch!

Ryman’s Club is pretty good too. It’s only one season though.

I just started A3! Season Spring/Summer and it gives me Free vibes. It's about a group of guys acting together to save a local theater from demolition

Well, having watched more than a few sports anime, I can say that what you’re looking for is sort of a staple in the genre. Most sports anime build up on the theme of working hard to become the best version of yourself and that, if you ever stray or feel hopeless, you must remember that no one is alone (hence the importance of teamwork and such). So, in a way, you could pick up any sports anime that has a plot line or even character design you like and there’ll be a good chance that you’ll find character moments like the one you’re looking for 😊

Having said that, if you want a series that does this with more hard hitting (tho potentially triggering) issues then I’d definitely recommend Stars Align ✌🏼

I think you would like Re-Main! I watched it right after Bakuten! and it had a bit of the same vibe, seeing you watched Free there will probably be some things in it that remind you of that too which is fun!

if you don't mind subbed anime Ace of the Diamond and Days are both great. Love All Play and Fanfare of Adolescence are new ones that are currently airing and subbed. Then of course you need to watch Haiku. That one is my favorite so far. And finally, Sk8 the infinity is really good if you like skateboarding. the last two are both dubbed. Happy watching!

Bakuten is a good one from what I remember. But almost every sport anime has the kind of drama you're searching for, so be sure to check some more out yourself. You might find little diamonds no one has heard of 💎
