| Well I thought the real ending was garbage but I can't really recall what happened between eps 26 and the end. It's been about a year ago since I watched it. Also, dude. | spoiler alert to the new comers :P i wouldve been satisfied even if it never ended & went on forever, or even it stopped prior to knowing the real KIRA identity. there's a real BIG ASS differences in the manga, like Kira begging for his life and having a mental breakdown. the anime did it better & kept it real for real till the very last end. i just love it, either way ;p |

| Well no because I liked certain parts of the second half of the manga/anime. Sure I hated Near and the SPK in general, but the ending wasn't the worst I've ever seen although the anime butchered Light's death scene imo. If the story had ended when L died it would've been fine too, but then it would've felt a bit morally bankrupt for a villain to succeed like that. |

| No, Episode 25 & 26 were a really good conclusion for L's character, But not Light. The best thing about the ending is the fact that Light gets a great conclusion. Sometimes I feel so many people take it as "Death Note = L", Which is kinda saddening, Light is also a really nice character and deserves episodes to develop or conclude his character, even if L wouldn't be in them. |
