I definitely did not expect to hear about the coronavirus in this series...

Asuna and the rest of the cast from the original series really are op. It's not surprising to see how quickly they were beaten.

This story took a weird turn what with Akamatsu-sensei deciding to incorporate irl stuff along with current events into the conclusion of this series, but I mean, I’m here for it I suppose, not that we have any choice lol.
It just seems odd that Gengoro suddenly seems to be this point of focus for the story as an isekai protag, maybe Akamatsu-sensei decided to hop in a lil bit on the whole isekai wave we’ve been riding for a while, who knows. It just kinda seems like these sudden solutions to these problems that pop up just seem so Deus Ex-Machina type of shit, like, really, what is going on?
I wouldn’t be surprised if Akamatsu-sensei decides to end the series with another love-making scene like he had been for the past couple chapters lol, really reverting to that doujin artist part of himself eh?

Seriously, asuna fell victim to ialda's corruption ability. Asuna shouldn't be affected due to having magic cancel, but I guess ialda's corruption ability isn't magic at all.

Even if it came a bit out of nowhere, this is a very interesting approach to isekai genre, better that most I've seen. We get an actual explanation of the mechanics behind isekai travel and characters faced with the decision of staying or returning and the implications for each of the characters.

It may seem Deus Ex Machina-ey but hey, the enemy so overwhelmingly strong that I can accept this kind of solution.
