It seems the Blue-ray is not selling well. Possible cancelation of future seasons?

Even the anime "By the Grace of Gods" had poor Blu-ray sales, but still is getting a second season

Blu-rays in Japan are more of a collection piece nowadays you would have to be mad to spend 90 or over dollars/pounds on them only for 2/3 episodes and a few extras a volume unless your really dedicated like the Japan gacha game community.

I guess I am buying them, I love the show and eventually plan on reading the manga since I have all seven volumes released in the US so far. I know in Japan they cost about 3,000yen per episode which is a lot if you want to buy a lot of volumes. Another great benefit to having Blu-rays is that the contents usually have improvements and are uncut and uncensored compared to original TV broadcast plus (usually) being higher quality and having a lot more bit-rate for the video and lossless audio. I mean for me I don't mind steaming quality for simulcasts but if it's shows I like a lot then I definitely would want to get the blu-rays. It also is way cheaper buying licensed anime like the 90% off Sentai Sales but comparatively US BDs are generally worse quality and compressed more plus are reliant on how good they master they obtain is.

The poor sales of anime or cartoon Blue-rays can be explained by the fact that people rarely buy movie discs nowadays. I can't even remember the last time I bought a DVD to watch a cartoon or anime.

Blu-ray sales matter much more in Japan than they do in the west. The Blu-ray market is still huge in Japan. Not what it used to be, but it still matters.
