DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Haha naru ringo - "Mother's Apple" or "An Apple Which Becomes a Mother" Yet again, we have a friend of Kurita's who is having trouble with a childish man and his eating habits. He insists on ordering apple pie and apple tea at every opportunity only to disparage it all, because the taste doesn't match the dessert from his childhood. This idiosyncrasy stems from unresolved issues with his mother and her seeming abandonment. I'd be interested in which species of apple Yamaoka was recommending to Aosawa because I couldn't find any info under "kyōgoku" - unless he was simply distinguishing tart baking apples. |
