| Deus ex machina, (Latin: “god from the machine”) a person or thing that appears or is introduced into a situation suddenly and unexpectedly and provides an artificial or contrived solution to an apparently insoluble difficulty. (Definition taken from www.britannica.com) Often in anime, this happens. Sometimes it is a pleasant surprise. Most of the other times it appears as obtrusive and kills the mood. Could you provide some examples of these in anime you have watched? And what feelings they gave you? I would suggest you use 'spoiler' tag for the sake of me and the others. You can mention the name of the anime out of the tag though |

| Deus ex machina in ending of Madoka is really welcome because how overpowered the main antagonist was and the main casts were really in a despairing situation. |
