| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First (nobody gives a damn anyway, lol)! It's amazing nobody else has discussed the movie. Anyways, back to the movie. The plot was horrible and could have been done better. For instance a better build up for Akira (the Makai priest) and their past. It was hard to feel for them when their past was hardly seen. A lot of time was used on the other dude that had a grudge against Michinaga, which was unnecessary for the plot. On the other hand, God damn the animation was good. The best part of the movie. Looks like MAPPA is great at making good art for their series, but God damn the story was bad. The OSTs was okay. A fine 5/9. |

| Totally forgot what Garo Crimson Moon was about but I don't remember it being this interesting with some pretty good animation. Michinaga is quite the scumbag, Raikou could have taken a bit more time before stopping Akira and Tokimaru's horror so Michinaga could have received some better karma then what happened at the end... I bet most characters wouldn't bat an eye on that. |

| I got enough out of Crimson Moon as a Garo fan but this movie improves so much on that series. Firstly and thankfully the Animation is soooo much better and the main trio of characters are so much more fun in this. I also felt the story was pretty solid. Akira's revenge mission was really engaging with a nice handful of twists along the way. Though I agree that Michinaga deserved more than he got that's for sure. |
