Tang Hao was very cool in this episode; both when he was teaching and when he was spying on his son. That said, I wish they had included the scene between Xiao Wu and the grandpa when she wanted to eat his carrot martial spirit.

yup, his father definitely has more to his backstory and soul power. he left to get back something he lost...his wife?

sad for the mc. gonna be a long while before he sees his dad again i imagine. i was wondering why he was walking back home without the old man escorting him

i was just thinking to myself, "i love how this show isn't doing random time skips and episodes logically flow from one to the next as a thorough storyline." and then it time skips a whole year haha. but for real, these episodes are doing way more plot and world building than most these cultivation type donghua. the "story" seems to come first here

I was kinda surprised by the timeskip.
It kinda felt like it came out of nowhere, especially after the suspicious Shadow.
