| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Come on.. by episode 73 I had a feeling this would end in a cliffhanger and long behold, it did.. Peasant school conflict arc lasts for half the season and it didn't even really conclude. The plot twist is kinda wtf since we've been led to believe she's truly that weak that even a little hold would break her. Still fairly enjoyable series, but I gotta say, I am not really enjoying the Tianming/Shaoyu subplot right now. They used to be the protagonist of the series to me, and I really rooted for them for the first 2-3 seasons, however, the story writers failed to give them much meaningful development, especially regarding their battle power, and had to asspull them out of lots of trouble in this season, especially Tianming. He's been given free power left and right and over 3 seasons, he hasn't learned a single thing about them. Really glad the second half went away from giving them more attention. The peasant school arc started really well, but dwell on for far too long imo without any of the main characters (Mohists/ Vertical and Horizontal/ Human clan) that I kinda feel detached from the series. It was great learning more about the Peasant school but I wish they found a way to incorporate our main characters in it more. Ended well though, despite the cliffhanger and the wtf plot twist. Hopefully season 6 doesnt take too long to come out. I need more Wei Zhuang x Ge Nie, they've been awesome all season long. edit: oh dang season 6 came out like around the end of Dec, just found out about it, sweet! edit2: forgot to mention that this series loves to cut away from hype moments into a totally different scenario, it was mad annoying because the scene got you hyped and then bam, switching scene. Ex: Prison break cutting into Tianming and Shaoyu's adventure on that weird ship, I am like, nobody cares about that right now.. |

| Finally finished the season 5, another good season fot Qin's Moon. I must say the Peasant School Conflict was longer than I expected, but it's not entirely bad and I still enjoyed it. Although I would like to see more of Tianming and Shao Yu, but I was fine with Ge Nie and Wei Zhuang too, I love four of them. Plus I'm glad Sister Rong finally woke up, it's been a long time. |
