| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- What a fantastic read! I knew I would enjoy a Kuroko/Misaka centered volume, but I was impressed with how well the writter can go writting other characters, giving them full focus and building a realistic life around them that interconnects and merges organically with everything he wrote previously. Academic City felts vast and full of details to explore, we are still on volume 8, there 14 more to go on Old Testament alone! After this volume the differences between the anime and source become very clear to me, specially when exploring the science side, there are just soo many details the anime adaptation leaves out, some due to its own shortcomings as an not so great adaptation, others because it is just impossible to cover all details the LN provides that make this world so more real, that just watching. Very much enjoyed being on Kuroku shoes, it was interesting to read on her, her experiences with her powers and how she deals with her life and views others. The cherry on top is that we also had more Acellerator, which helps bringing out diversity even more, same for the clones. Sure it is a joy to see how well the dots of all these "subplots" link to eachother, even in the end having Mikoto and Touma working together to save her kouhai~~ That was really cute and endearing, Touma really looked like a savior there, and I do think Kuroko would have fell in MC's harem trap, if not for her love for her Onee-Sama! Terrific volume, readed this in way less than 2 days, it is bit shorter than others but still, this goes out to show how great it was. Planning to also mix Railgun manga from now on with reading the LN. Details on Railgun anime are abit too fuzzy and this seems the best opportunity to immerse myself even more into this universe. Kuroko was really the star on this one, hope to see her more on the main series... |

| Teleport vs Teleport in a restaurant playing French lounge music... Truly epic duel right here. It was interesting to see this LN through a different perspective! I am waiting for more. |
