| Are the characters supposed to be dumb? Seriously, how come noone could prove Menma's existence? She can just eat something when they are there, Poppo even tells her to eat at one scene but she doesn't, there's no point to the whole "menma isn't real" drama since it's so easy to prove she is. Is there a reason to this revealed in a later episode? If so, my apologies, I'll let myself out x) |

| This is also bugging me, menma clearly can interact with physical objects as well - eating, cooking food, playing video games, knocking over objects. It shows that she isn't a figment of Yodamis imagination. |

| Yeah, that was one of the stupidest thing about this series, and probably the first idea anyone would have in Jinta's place >_> They should have made it clear that she either can't interact with any object at all, or show that she's only capable of doing it in front of Jinta. |

At least they clarified after ep In the writer's perspective, the series wouldn't have been the same if Menma just revealed herself off the bat. |

I guess it could have been resolved if they added more of Jinta and Menma's perspective as to why they kept to themselves. |

| it is incredibly contrived plot device to extend the plot, like really the way the series just writes every situation in order to just make the characters do what is most dramatic or more emotionally manipulative for the audience is almost insulting at times |
