| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- So Mari finally got one over Seiji who was caught off-guard by the last question. The category they were competing in was Science, but somehow a Pop History question snuck in. Two days later, Mari came back to school with a nice new haircut, symbolizing her newfound confidence after making amends with her brother. He's still pretty smug about her being a quiz bowl player, though, but she doesn't worry that much anymore, the team's got her back. Next chapter is the training camp for the regional square quiz bowl. A square quiz bowl is a team competition with 4 members on each team. Excluding equips girl Jinko, they already have 4 members. Gakuto will still carry the team, but the other 3 players' specialties complement each other: Shiki with Classical Lit, Daisuke with Math and Science, and Mari with Trash and Stickies. Gakuto won't probably try to take over unless they are in a pinch. So Shiki still needs to improve on his buzzing speed to bring in his encyclopedia to the big game. I like how Daisuke takes up Science as his new specialty field, he just needs to focus on improving himself as he's pretty much in the middle. And Mari still needs to improve her stock knowledge base to make her buzzing speed a real threat to the opposing teams. |
