I want to watch an anime that I've forgotten the title of.

I remember that the main character was a high school guy who gets drawn into this conflict between a girl who i believe had an eye patch and advanced technological spider legs coming out of her back or something, and another guy who i think was a teacher at the main characters school. they both had some kind of nano tech going on and the guy somehow gets the tech as well, learns to fight, and helps out the girl.

i wish I could remember more. I want to say that the title is something along the lines of 'valkyrie' something or other.

Another anime/ Manga has 2 families that both fight spirits by using spiritual energy to trap spirits inside boxes of energy.

yeah, that's it. not sure where I got the eyepatch from. Didn't see it in the pictures i saw of busou reiken.
