| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Yup, figured this was the start of the mermaid notebook. So that's why some of the mermaids turn vicious, might need to check which arcs had this happen with this new info. Thought the teacher was gonna end up being the start of the slit-mouthed woman legend after what happened to her. Overall the arcs were too similar to each other, though that's mitigated a bit from the gap between when I read each one. Guess I wouldn't mind if there was more though, especially if we got to see the origin of the mermaids. |

| DAMNNN THAT WHOLE BEGINNING!! She's so fucking badass for real what the fuck. Out of literally anyone she dealt with the mermaids the best. Fucking sucker punched them all lol. Holy fuck though when the teacher appeared and she flat out slit her fucking mouth, "wanna know how I got these scars" vibe lolllll. AWWWWW that huge misunderstanding could have been cleared up SOOO fucking easily. The girl was literally his sister lmfao. I'm glad they got together happily in the ending awwwwweeeeiieieieiiees. Makes sense why the mermaids were attacking her as well with this new infromation, I was so fuckin surprised to see the teacher lived though, jesus. and ohmygod she's still gunna go after the boy she's so gross I hate her. |

I thought the mermaids were sad because Hidemi was refusing to eat their flesh and just waited to turn (which would've been very strange for them), but it turns out that they were just annoyed that she wouldn't become one even without eating the flesh. This is the second story in which an adult woman pursues a teenage boy, man. |
