| We didn't cried. Yet, it is a fact, but this doesn't mean that we found the show boring. I actually liked Angel Beats despite the fact that I didn't cried. Overall, it was very good to me. However, Anohana is another case. Not only it wasn't that sad or rather drama forced, there was a very shallow story, not much development and truly a weak philosophy. On the other hand, Clannad had a great deal of drama cleverly paced within an interesting story filled with meaningful morals. Which were missing in Anohana. Nonetheless, I must agree that the script of Anohana was incredible. Unfortunately, the story was dull. Come on, if the only reason why you do like Anohana was because you did cry, then you failed to consider the potential of the material. |

| Crying is not why you watch it. But then again, I agree, story wise it's an emotional trainwreck. I couldn't call it a good story. If I ever want to cry over something, I'd watch Hachi the dog's tale. Graveyard's Fireflies is the only anime tearjerker for me. |
