When will Kochikame end and how will it end ?

Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo in short form kochikame is a long running gag manga which still runs in shonen jump since 1976.

Its about a down out of luck cop named Kankichi Ryotsu who has allies the charming person Keiichi Nagakawa and the beautiful Reiko akimoto ,His misadventures involve trying to be rich and successful but trouble things happens to him every time and he always end up unsuccessful when his plans to get rich failed.

This series is created by manga artist Osamu Akimoto who keeps on creating his series as if it his lifetime for making it.

But you know what i think though the series is still running even today i think i know how the series will end it will end if the author Osamu will retire from his manga career and will make one last story for kochikame before he retires and end the series.

And i think i know what the final story for kochikame is it will be a two part storyarc which will be special for the series if it going to end -

Part 1- will be printed with a regular weekly shonen jump cover as usual but will a tiny small thing which features Kankichi Ryotsuhimself as it has some message saying 'The Final Kochikame story begins now' and before we are about to begin what it considered to be the part 1 of kochikame's final story there will be a history page about the series which started in 1976,how it adapted into some anime series up to the possible final year and then it ends with a message saying 'And now the final story of Kochikame Begins'

Part 1 of kochikame's final story will take place in the future with Kankichi Ryotsu still unlucky as he is now old ,has grey hair and is about be bald especially what's left of his prime (in a comedic way) while his friends are old but healthy and have a great retirement while he doesn't which makes him more miserable as usual in a comedic way ,As he does some boring usual patrol despite of his old age and a young rookie office beside him he saw some criminals about to plot something big Ryotsu hearing this decided that this will be a chance of his lifetime by defeating those crooks before they unleash the great bad thing Kankichi Ryotsu and his young rookie partner follow those crooks at the location where their biggest bad things is about to happen , Ryotsu jumps out of his cover and is about to beat the bad guys by himself despite the effects of his old age and the shouting from his rookie partner but in the end he defeated them easily that is until in a comedic way something hit him and he is about to receive a coma and the story will end with a message saying 'The end of kochikame comes next week! IS THIS THE END OF RYOTSU KANKICHI!'

Second and final part will be printed in weekly shonen jump but with a commemorating special cover dedicating not only to the end of the kochikame series but also a 'future' goodbye to Osamu Akimoto himself since he will probably retire after many years of making kochikame series including his career as mangaka it shows a farewell party with Ryotsu and the rest of kochikame casts waving goodbye to the readers with tears in their eyes but with the smile on their faces because their series is ended but their legacy,their stories and influence will live on to many readers and future mangakas alike and every characters from the series in weekly shonen jump maybe present and possible future jump series stars will appear and give gifts and flowers to the kochikame casts to thank them for many years of their humorous stories and misadventures.

Part 2 of kochikame's final story will take place where part 1 left off with Ryotsu lying in coma in a hospital his friends Keiichi Nagakawa and Reiko akimoto rush towards towards him worrying about their friend as the doctor tells he has few minutes to live which cause a shock to both Keichi and reiko even the young rookie they then begin to reminiscent about Ryotsu's misadventures and their previous hilarious antics as they wait for the 'unthinkable' this will be considered as some clip show manga type thing and will some some stories from previous kochikame series Keichi and keiko remiscent and after the friends reminiscent of Ryotsu's silly adventures he suddenly wake up and in a comedic manner he touched his head with great pain that he felt that something hit him,Keichi and Reiko including the young rookie are surprised that Ryotsu is alive and they hug him with tears of joys relieved that their friend is alive despite Ryotsu plea to stop them from pressure hugging him,We then cut to a police ceremony where Ryotsu is considered a great hero to many for preventing a bigger crime and he is offered not only a medal of honor but big tons of money and a 'Rich' Retirement with that Ryotsu gleefully then makes a big speech saying after trying to get successful despite too many trouble he had he finally got it and as he continues speaking of how he is proud himself ,We cut to the present where it was revealed that the whole 2 part tale is considered to be a dream from ryotsu's head as he begins to wake up in a comedic manner and realising that the whole thing is not only a dream but he is young again but he didn't felt angry because his dream while sleeping is possibly a vision of his future and that it finally lead to his great success until the chief interrupted his thoughts in a comedic manner tells him there is Big crime in progress and he has to bring his allies with him,Hearing this Ryotsu with confidence gets ready as he calls his allies Keiichi and Reiko to come with him because there is a crime in progress and they have to stop it they glad fully accept as they rush towards their assignment Ryotsu has final thoughts on his head with a smile in his face thinking this adventure might cause to make him unlucky as usual but he felt that someday in the future he will,and then the final Splash page has the trio Ryotsu,Keichi and Reiko coming out of the police headquarters With a special Big 'The end' message written on it as they are go straight to what is to be one of their continuing adventures it will considered as 'and the adventure continues' ending because even thought this is considered the final kochikame story the characters will live on as they continues their misadventures but without us readers seeing it.
There will be one more page written by Osamu Akimoto himself which will be considered his farewell letter as he says about the kochikame series and how he worked on it from the beginning to the last and it will end with a passage saying thanks to the staff of weekly shonen jump and to us readers for reading the kochikame series before he says goodbye with a tiny message saying Kochikame (1976 (birth year)- (possible end year)

What do you think ?Anyway perhaps in the near future maybe the kochikame series will end if the author retires after many years of making this series.

I still say retirement i mean the one made kitaro manga (before modern manga was made) retired and end his series.

Guys,I already heard that news that kochikame is ending for real and i thought the mangaka was about to end it when he retires and now he is going to end it in september and he is retiring though he claims that he is making a new one which is i think is a mini series,some monthly series and few one shots meaning that he is 'semi-retired'.

Looks like one piece is going be the only long running weekly shonen jump series at least until few years later and later Isobe Isobee Monogatari since it's a gag manga and will be considered kochikame's successor and its art is faithful to the ancient japanese arts and The Disastrous Life of Saiki K unless if it doesn't want to continue to be ongoing.

Excluding JOJO because it's now a seinen series in ultra jump and is under different names in their current arcs like steel ball run and jojolion.

Lets hope it gets a final full cover treatment since it is long running and will not end up like naruto who doesn't get a final full cover treatment and it did.
