In that case I don't think the show in general is yuri, but I do think Miku is. She blushes around hibiki a lot and there was one scene where it felt like she was going to confess or something but it was cut off. |

| Not yuri, just deep friendships. Miku does seem to have a bit of a crush on Hibiki, but it's not nearly enough to consider the show yuri. Closer to shoujo-ai, if anything, but even that's a stretch. |

| There are very minor undertones, but nothing overt. There are some clear relationships with a few characters hinted at swinging that way, but the closest they've gotten was in the specials, and while considered "canon," the scene (indeed, the specials in general) was still played mostly for laughs - and still didn't go beyond hinting at Miku's attitude toward Hibiki. So, as the above post noted, calling it shoujo-ai is even a bit of a stretch. |
| Well, considering that both of them sleep in the same bed despite it's a bunk bed, act like husband/wife and wife, wear underwear with the opposite theme colors, Miku finding a book with the title "Your true self" and that Miku's Symphogear song is about her love, there is at least one lesbian. Tsubasa and Kanade... For me, Kanade's death scene looks like Tsubasa is kissing her, well, but there is no close-up. Kirika and Shirabe have a similar relationship with the two pairs above. Bathing or having a shower with another girl is apparently common in Japan and is not explicit considered as homosexual, though the subtext is big. For my part I say: Yes. But as long there is no kissing or statements, it's not enough to be Yuri/Shoujo Ai. |

| It's basically a magical girl show, and magical girl shows often have some mild shoujo ai overtones. While it might not be strictly yuri, some characters are definitely close friends, so it really depends on what you believe crosses the line between close friends and lovers. |
