As a classic, old-school gunslinging show, Trigun has a lot to offer for someone looking for a few good animated gunfights. But it has a lot of thoughtful quotes to ponder too, and subtle ones at that. Mixed in with the thrilling action, the well-executed comedy, and the emotionally moving moments, this anime gives the viewer a lot to think about as they learn of a world where human morals are adjusted and reevaluated on the new home of humanity, planet Gunsmoke. All without trying to bash the viewer over the head with it. That's what the awesome action's for.
