Thanks to my freakishly inaccurate memory (inaccurate in the sense that it remembers the useless stuff but tends to let got of more important things like test schedules, meetings and occasionally my name) I can still remember the first day I got re-hooked into anime. I said re-hooked because I was watching anime ever since I can remember. Those were the days when we were watching Voltes V and Daimos on the local stations. Nowadays, I use the internet as my primary means of enjoyment...but that story is for another time.

So here goes...

I was wandering around campus as usual, since first period just ended and I don't really care that much for my second period class (which was my major btw). The day was starting to suck, and the next class that I had intentions of going to was 5 hours later. So I decided to use my time wisely and head to the research laboratory of our campus. Why head to the R&D Lab you ask? Well, there you will find (not YOU will find, rather I will find because I'm telling the story. But as I am writing this line I realize that you'd probably think that already, making this effort of explaining it moot) my two bestfriends whom I have nicknamed 1/3 and 1/3. Again, the nickname is a story of another time (coincidently, my nickname to them is also 1/3, if you know basic math then figure it out). Also, the smell of esters and aldehydes calms me down somewhat...

I'm getting side-tracked...

Moving forward, I hurried over to the R&D Lab and immediately placed my things on the research table where 1/3 was...

I'm getting sleepy so I'll continue this tomorrow.

So here's the situation: I just started helping out at a club (insert shameless plug here: http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=18413) and I was pushing out some new stuff to keep things interesting. HOWEVER, over an hour has passed and my comment, my new thread and the changes I've made in the club details have yet to appear correctly. At times the changes does appear, then disappears the moment I hit refresh, maneuver around MAL or even when I try to access the changes I made...

I love MAL as much as I love anime. It's like fantasy football for the otaku in all of us. And I think most of us love football, be it Association football or American "Gridiron" football. But frustrating lag is frustrating...

Just to be clear, I'm not blasting the staff in any way. I "helped" manage a local site/forums before and I know the troubles these guys go to just to keep things up and running. Kudos (do they still say that?) to all the staff for the fact that with all the members MAL has that are active around the world, we can still update our lists. No sarcasm involved. Now if they get these problems fixed soon, that would be awesome...

Since it has been a while since I last updated my anime list, or visited MAL for that matter, I allocated a generous amount of time in looking around. Looking at a forum (I forgot which), one comment had a screenshot of a program called "MALupdater". I tried it out and after a bit of tweaking with the settings, I got it to work the way I wanted it to. I suggest this program for all lazy people like myself, for others, this is definitely a program worth looking at if you watch a lot of anime.

So, here it is. Another blog... Great...

Not that it matters anyway, everyone has their thoughts on stuff they like. And since topics of the "stuff" I like range from Quantum-dot solar cells to removing damp smells on carpets, it would be nice to keep the various topics in-line. Since I like (Ok, more like love) my Anime, I have decided to dedicate another (yes, another) blog for it. Therefore, I will be using this first post to apologize beforehand to anyone who will waste 20 seconds of their life, give or take a few, reading every single word that pops out of my cranium. Don't blame me, blame the Neocortex...
