Despite being independent from the manga it originally transpired from, Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the better anime original adaptations out there. While not as tightly coherent or epic as its manga counterpart, it offers a darker coat of paint upon the world of Amestris and its unforgettable characters. F.M.A. proves to stand on its own merit as a politically and morally challenging action-drama that is well worth your time, whether or not you've already read the manga or seen Brotherhood.

Brotherhood is single-handedly responsible for turning Fullmetal into the behemoth it is today. While the pacing may be uneven, as well as the tone-shifts being jarring to some, Brotherhood sports action and animation far superior to even most anime coming out today. Despite its several flaws it has, it's forgivable due to how engaging the world and its characters are.

Steins;Gate is a show that will test your patience. While the first half is quite misleading to new viewers (however, rewarding to rewatchers), the narrative is excellently driven by its unforgettable and well developed cast. It succeeds as both a psychological thriller as well as a love letter to Otaku culture - a strange, but effective blend of elements that defines Steins;Gate as unique.
