Interest Stacks  Anime where the leading couple is from two different species.   Anime series that are great and underrated.      Pretty self explanatory. Anime that takes place in a countryside (or someplace desolate). Some of which are not necessarily what you would call a "countryside", like Harukana Receive and Zombieland saga, but it has that feel to it.     Trees, forests, deserts, oceans -- shows where the depiction of the outdoors is absolutely breathtaking!   Anime with an intriguing, immersive, rich, or otherwise memorable atmosphere. Usually a combination of artistic, imaginative visuals, distinctive music, a slowish pace, and cryptic, emotional, and/or philosophical dialogue. Atmospheric doesn't necessarily mean good, though.   Some anime which may have an unexpected or emotional scene to it that may make you want to cry or feel empty inside. This list includes less romantic (although there still are some), but more of a platonic love tearjerkers as a whole. This list includes no side stories.     This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious).   List of series with a rural setting.     Supernatural shows that have a bittersweet, often sadly melancholic nature and atmosphere. A very different level, from magical realism to almost open fantasy and horror, the main theme is the importance of suffering and sacrificing something important in order to achieve one's goal and save loved ones.    Anime of every genre and score that have vampires or monsters very similar to vampires as a main character or heavy focus. Different from the vampire tag as this excludes characters with (only) blood related powers or anime with creatures called vampires that don't have most vampire traits. Only includes the first season of each anime unless vampires only appear in a later season or ova, in which case when they appear is included instead.  Shows that have female Vampires as main or supporting characters. Anime where vampirism is presented as a true curse or vampires act like actual monsters instead of it being a quirky character trait. Only has the first season or where the vampire(s) appear included.    A collection themed around the spookiest time of year, but it's always Halloween in my soul... |
