This review reflects on both season one and two.
We'll start with a small plot here. Who ever has heard of a dragon who only eats vegetables and other non-animal, meatless foods? I sure have not. This Herbivore Dragon, is also very weak and can even get beat up by a bunny. But let's not talk about that. This series is all about traveling and meeting new people, also beat them up. But it's not this kind loving dragon who does that, no, it's his new, self acclaimed disciple, Reiko, who happens to somehow get the calamity kind of like powers our kind dragon should have.
First
...
season for me was very enjoyable with a lot of humor and funny moments. This second season however, focused more on the story and had more dramatic feel to it. Also a lot more action packed which might suit others who didn't care much for season one. Since if season one wasn't that good or funny to you, then this second season might do justice.
Audio and animation;
Watching this series with Chinese audio, it felt kind of weird. But it was funny either way. I highly recommend you to try it.
I enjoyed the animation. Smooth running and well animated. Our friendly dragons walking did seem funny.
If there was, I for sure didn't notice any 3D or CGI. Even if there actually might have been some. The magic flowing through the screen were something that looked cool in a dark room.
Overall, this short twelve minute per episode series does not waste much of your time. I for sure though first that twelve minutes was too little in the first season but almost too long here in this second one. The story seems to be going further so hopefully we'll
see even a third season. I'll be sure to tune in if I notice it arriving.
Score wise, since I really enjoyed the first season but the second season was a little too action packed and did not have a lot of comedy. I'd give this one a very generous 7/10 score with the first and second season combined Since I gave the first season an 8/10 and this one 6/10.
Friendly reminder, this is my first ever review, please forgive me for typos etc and thank you for reading.
