Major sports leagues (football, baseball, basketball, soccer) are excluded to make the list more Olympics-focused. While hockey is also a major sports league, there is only one anime so it was kept.

This list is purely my personal opinion. It has nothing to do with society. I added it here after reviewing the manga/light novel of many of the anime on the list, reading a few reviews and checking if they are good or not. In short, these are the anime that could be the potential banger of the season, whose original source has been praised by some people, and the anime I am most looking forward to.

There's A LOT of anime coming out these days so here's a collection of 2020s anime that I think are worth watching or are well regarded

Each entry will have a brief description for anyone who wants to know what the anime is about. Underneath I will go into more detail about why I think its worth watching without any spoilers.

No isekai except if they might be good, weird, Movies or nsfw. all the anime that isn't is new and isn't a sequel

I tried to put together a list of sports (or sports-style) anime featuring women's and girls' sports that don't lean overly much into fanservice/ecchi stuff. Pickings were . . . Slim.

It would be nice if manga like Crimson Hero, Aozora Yell, Girl Got Game/Power!!, and other girls' sports manga got anime.
