Shuumatsu no Walküre II Part 2

Following the most recent brutal battle, the gods now hold the lead against mortals in the one-on-one tournament that will decide the fate of humanity. With three wins under the belt of the divine beings, the humans only have 10 matches left to save themselves from extermination. The Supreme God Zeus intends to take the upper hand by sending Buddha—a benevolent demigod loved by all of humanity—into the fray.

In a shocking twist, Buddha announces his intention to fight for humanity. Enraged by this betrayal, the gods call upon the Seven Gods of Fortune to take Buddha down. As their battle rages on, a mysterious entity manifests in the middle of the arena, throwing the entire competition into disarray.

In this second part of the season they show us only one battle but for me one of the best to give us plot twists, from the beginning how the change from a fighter of the gods to a fighter of humanity was shocking and some others that we will see Over the course of these 5 episodes, look at the best for me in this second season was the battle between Jack and Hercules along with this due to the simple fact of the sentimentality and emotional charge that this entailed, a battle that although like the season the animation does not It is ... the best, its story is quite interesting, with a plot twist in the middle that will leave you stunned because it will make you change all your expectations that you had in this battle, of course, if you liked the previous battles, this second part of the season is unmissable super recommended.

En esta segunda parte de la temporada nos muestran solo una batalla pero para mi una de las mejores en darnos giros de tramas, desde el principio el como fue el cambio de luchador de los dioses a luchador de la humanidad fue impactante y algunos otros que veremos en el transcurso de estos 5 episodios, miren lo mejor para mi en esta segunda temporada fue la batalla entre Jack y Hércules junto con está por el simple hecho del sentimentalismo y carga emocional que conllevo está, una batalla que aunque como la temporada la animación no es la mejor su historia es bastante interesante, con un giro de trama a la mitad que te dejara anonadado porque te hará cambiar todas tus expectativas que tenias en está batalla, por supuesto que si te gustaron las batallas anteriores esta segunda parte de la temporada es imperdible super recomendada.

Mixed Feelings

Hello, fellow anime aficionados! Let's step into the ring with Shuumatsu no Walküre II Part 2, where men and gods are supposed to duke it out for the ultimate title of pardon with dreams of mercy. But alas, this season feels more like a slapstick comedy than the epic battle we were promised. It's not a total knockout, a very disappointing 5. It's like expecting a heavyweight title fight and ... getting a pillow fight by the contenders are still two world class heavyweights - it's like two school kids knocking it out with powers grabbed from straight up asspulls.

The story this time around, is like a boxer who forgot his shorts - it's trying to hit hard, but it's just embarrassing. The characters are like fighters who showed up to the ring in clown shoes - they're giving it their all, but they're not packing the punch we usually expect from the show. Of course, blame here should be partly shouldered by the mangaka as well, but the studio didn't help either.

The animation is like a slow-motion replay of a missed punch - it's lacking in detail. The two names of the only fight in this season, hold great power and reverence, yet neither were well displayed nor excellently animated as compared to simply drawings from the manga.

And then there's the elephant in the room - the measly five episodes. It's like preparing for a 12-round fight and getting a quick knockout in the first round. It's not that the knockout is bad, it's just...too quick. And when you're expecting a full fight, a quick knockout just doesn't cut it.

So, should you watch Shuumatsu no Walküre II Part 2? Well, if you're a die-hard fan who's willing to sit through a few lackluster rounds for the sake of the story, then yes. But if you're looking for the same level of excitement and quality as the previous seasons, then you might want to adjust your expectations.

In the end, we're all just spectators in the grand arena of anime. And sometimes, the fight doesn't live up to our expectations. But we stick around, round after round, hoping for that knockout punch.

If you're in the "third season" you know what this series is, how the production is, and how it works. You probably also liked the first two parts (as did I, they're a joy to watch). So, here what I'm gonna do is go over the things particular to this part, and sometimes draw comparisons to the standard the series has set up for itself.
The main thing about Ragnarok is the characters. Since the animation is not particularly eye candy, the battles can be engaging but you usually are still invested in what happens because you like/dislike the characters, and that is what made me ... write this review.
The fighter of the Gods is boring, pain and simple. Let's take a character that has one characteristic and extended the fight for 5 episodes, oh, and let's have him be the perfect counter for the fighter of mankind in the most silly of ways. Also, let's have him be this unknown creature whose characteristic is be evil. Oh, but that sounds silly so let's give him a backstory that....is even more silly (probably to just introduce what is one of the most famous characters in mythology, which is even more disappointing).
While the other fights were more about letting the characters shine using their own fighting style against their opponent, this is just a poor attempt to mask (I'm hoping they were trying to mask what they were doing, because if you make this and think its good I start to imagine that the author has changed). Sorry, parenthesis were too long, let's try this again.
While the previous fights were about people fighting their own way and that's gonna be it, never letting them be sucked by their opponent vibes and just stuck to what they do best, this one is a big evil strong guy that is strong...because he can cancel the opponents abilities. But no no, he can overwhelm the opponent because he is strong and not because of pure convenience. Also, he is boring. His first form is also boring as heck. Completely one note with a depth of a pond.
Let me remind you again that this can get even worse because he is fighting against a cool character (for Ragnarok standards).
So you made a boring and convenient fight, wasted three characters potential, did the most undeserving first appearance of one of the most famous characters in mythology, and that thing took 5 freaking episodes.
Btw, I'm writing this review on the anime but I cannot see how the manga could be better for this arc in particular. Heck, the manga is probably worse because it must have taken way longer to see it through.
My recommendation, watch in 2x or just jump. I did this for episode 14 since I could not care anymore (I did try, I watched 4 full episodes of the 5, but when the 14th hit I could not bother anymore).
