Undead Girl Murder Farce

This seems to have flown under a lot of radars. I suspect many people watched the first two eps, and threw their hands up, wondering what this was all about, then gave up.

Please don't. It take a while to flesh out the characters. Remember, the MC has no body. Her maidservant seems to be a robot, and their back-up is pretty much a dick. But that's just the surface layer. As each episode passed, these characters move from total dysfuntion to a cohesive squad. Slow, but ultimately solid, character development, design and writing.

The narrative writing is fine, too. Besides our main troupe, ... there is a mish-mash of supernatural beings, and an assortment of famous 19th century literary mystery protagonists. It sounds like a recipe for trainwreck, but the writers use short arcs to solve the mysteries that pop up, and manage to blend everything into a palatable stew. It was a surprisingly well done job.

The artwork is quite pleasing. It tends toward dark and brooding, but the quality is always at the forefront. The animation is better than average, and climbs to exceptional in a couple of the action scenes. There aren't a lot of them, but they caught my attention. The VAs do a real good job. Our protagonists mostly are restrained, and that is portrayed well, without being boring. But some of the side characters can be unhinged, and their VAs can serve up the spaz. This all points to some fine direction, by someone that knows what the hell they are doing.

Let this one out of it's cage and give it a chance. If I was to give it a grade, it would be 92/100, a nice solid A-. But don't take my word for it. Come get yourself a little head.

This anime is a good breather. You get to meet historical figures and many waifus and all but those deductions of Aya is so fun to watch. I am trying if I can solve the case faster but plot takes it away. Anyway the concept of an anime with so many species inside is just wonderful. Not a bad watch a very good if I may say. I like this genre very much even tho it gets a little bit repetitive. I ship Shizuku and Carmilla.. and my fave waifu is definitely Nora or Jutte. Such a cutie and those dead eyes. I like the ... style, content, plot and art. Yogiri Approves.

It started with an intriguing premise and captivating first episode. The initial plot setup was full of potential, leaving you eager to see where it would lead. However, as the series progressed, disappointment set in. It became meandering and lost its direction.
The character designs were interesting, but with average animation and composition, it wasn’t anything special.
The animation quality also suffered, with inconsistent pacing, and lackluster fight scenes. It's regrettable that a show with such a strong start ultimately failed to deliver on its early potential.
... I would not recommend it to others due to its disappointing execution and overall lackluster animation.
