Before you ask me, yes it’s kind of unusual that I’m comparing a romance harem anime with a child caretaking action thrilling anime because they play differently from each other. But I did see the deeper connection between these two that probably catch my eyes onto those. They are original animes, meaning they do not come from the manga before the first chapters of the manga were released. The main characters that are males have a hard time understanding of what love is for them and how to feel love. They even have flashbacks of how their first love died and how reality can really be  read more

They're both highly ecchi harem animes where a guy who is explicitly not interested in romance at first is forced to live in a house with five girls. The humor is also very similar.

A high school protagonist who just wants to live a normal life suddenly gets forced into extremely contrived dating sim situations that try to force them to romance somebody. Then the plot takes an extra dark turn into psychological horror. Renai Flops is the gyaru game harem version while Romantic Killer is the otome game version.

These animes have different stories, Renai flops (love flops) is a sci-fi and Futoku no guild (immoral Guild) is a fantasy. But both of these animes have a singular similarity which escalates in episode which is MC looking out for the girls like a big brother, a protector. The girls as well as the love interests in these animes are all a little careless and clumsy. Being young and energetic they often get excited and mentally down then the responsibility falls on the MC's shoulder to cheer them up. He helps them with various things thus the girls develop feelings for the MC.

-Both take place in a school setting -MC is surrounded by girls In Shomin Sample the MC is the only boy in the school but in Love Flops there are more boys besides the MC

-Both take place in a school setting -MC is surrounded by girls In both the series there are normal schools but 'We Never Learn' takes place in some present time and they focus on studies but 'Love Flops' takes place in the future due to the technology we see in it and no sign of anyone actually studying

Guy gets involved with 5 girls who he had unlucky encounters and bad first impressions with and there is the general mystery and unpredictability of who is gonna win.

+ Same premise. Starts as a harem, then evolves into crazy action and finally a big plot twist. + Main character is also similar. Not the typical loner of harem anime, but quite charismatic actually. + The girls also share similarities between both series. Renai Flops have 5 girls, Saber Marionette have 3, but later 3 others appear as antagonists. + The comedy is also similar, specially during the beginning and middle arcs. Latter arcs turn a bit more dramatic and emotional. + There are other points that are similar but it would lead into spoilers. + Finally, both have a satisfying ending.

IDK, but Renai Flops just yelled back in my mind when I started watching One Room. The animation is similar and the initial good vibes really resonated with me. Just know that you can be kinda emotionally devasted by the end of Renai Flops but I think the ride is Worthy either way. The girls are cute and the protags aren't duchbags. Feels right in my book.

recommended to give it a chance, in the final episodes they are a bit similar, but you need to watch "Beatless Final Stage" afterwards to see the ending, "Beatless" is more serious and has less comedy, it's still very good. "Renai Flops" is a good anime in many moments, if you remember that it's a comedy, not to mention that it has many references. in my opinion it's a good anime, too bad I accidentally saw spoilers on TikTok, this spoiler made me aware of something very important in the story and ended part of my experience watching the anime, I still liked it.

This anime gives the same vibe of typical romcom at start, but then it turns into crazy sci-fi. Like in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu this twist is not smoothly integrated in romcom genre at start, but after we get more details it becomes fun to watch.

"What it means to be a human?" Both of these series tackle the aspect of if technology had human feelings.

These works explore AI that have gained humanlike consciousness and the ramifications of such. The subject has a portrayal that skews positive in regards to both tone and narrative.

All the heroines are in love with the MC and he can choose any one of them as a girlfriend (or maybe a harem ending)

Both of them take us on some wild rides in fantastical worlds. Renai Flops got that dating sim vibe, where you're navigating the troubled waters of romance, and Bomberman Jetters is all about blasting your way through space. They're like two sides of a coin - one's all lovey-dovey, and the other's all boom-boom - but they share that same sense of adventure and thrill.

Both of these anime make use of the most generic and overused trope out there (harem), but somehow the end result is something -dare I say- nothing sort of spectacular. Don't just look at the average user rating, both of these anime are SEVERELY underrated imo
