Tomodachi Game

The MCs are highschoolers with a really high iq who always manage to outsmart enemies in some way in order to get what they want.  

Both INTJ protagonists, if Vice likes a cold, objective and manipulative protagonist who would do anything for his objective, I recommend seeing this one. 

Both series consist of teenagers earning and losing copious amounts of money based on their choices. The MC's from both series are very similar as well, at first appearing to be average in just about every way until later revealing just how genius they are. 

One of those anime where the main character is too smart for the other characters, not because he is some kind of genius, because they are just stupid, anyways watching tomodachi game will probably leave you with a headache, so have fun!! 

I personally like high-stake psychologically challenging shows and how certain characters intellectually overpower others, so if you're into that you'll definitely like it. 

Durn its amazing. Both anime are amazing with a good & smart mc with unique idea's and different way of thinking. The story is VERY good on both show's with a big amount of mystery and twist's. If you happen like one of these show's you will 99% like the other one. The art-style is not the same, but it dose fit to the show as it is and i found it very attractive and well - made. But why is similar? Bc of the characters. That's about it. In both show's - the main storyline is about the characters, there for its very similar and enjoyable in the same way. So, to the point - if you like a mystery type story with amazing characters and amazing main character as well, you may like both of these shows. Note: you may wanna read Tomodachi Game manga, but do not try to read Classroom of the elite manga - read the light novel instead. read more

If you like Psychological types of anime then these two are a great choice, I will warn you that Tomodachi Game contains depictions of sexual assault or rape and may not be suitable for some people.  

Both MC's are manipulators, of course Ayanokoji is trying to not get any attention but because of his achievements and skills until now he is been slightly getting suspicious by many of his classmates. But in Tomodachi Game, Yuuichi is very much able to be a normal high school boy until he got dragged in this game. Definitely recommend this anime...  

If you like classroom of the elite...you will love tomodachi game and vice versa. I mean both are damn good mind bending anime, and also when you are watching tomodachi game at least watch 6 episodes that's my opinion....you will absolutely love it 

Watch this if you want another cold-hearted, over-powered protags. Both shows have different type of 'cruelty' though 

If you admire Classroom of the Elite for its psychological challenges and how the main protagonist, Ayanokogi, finds his way out of every problem, then you shouldn't skip this show. Tomodachi Game is not about the rivalries among the classes to gain the top position. Instead, the show revolves around the test of friendship among a group of friends. 

Both main characters are manipulative, both undergo a series of tests. Their personalities differ but their methods are similar. 

Lots of mind games getting played by the MC, You will constantly be wondering what tricks they will pull out to keep you on your toes the whole time you are watching.  

Both anime have the badass protagonist and the story is very much engaging. 

If you watched Classroom of the Elite because of Ayanokoji, then you probably will like Yūichi. 

Both have really cool moments, they make you want to watch everything in one go. Mind games at its best.

I'm seeing a lot of people compare Tomodachi Game to Squid Game - for obvious reasons - but I feel like the whole vibe is closer to Danganronpa. Manabu-kun is basically just a more annoying Monokuma, a feat which I didn't even think was possible. (Note: Though this recommendation is technically for the Danganronpa anime, I recommend playing the game instead if you can!) 

Both use a mascot with similar characteristics in the games/investigations and both use conflicts where they battle through intellect to find the traitor 

This has a similar vibe to Dragonpa . Where you need to kill one of the classmates to get away.

Bro.I mean same plot, crazy thing keeping kids, traitors, kids kinda "killing" each other but not rlly 

Corrupt Game Leaders + School Style Mix your type? Then watch these. Plot twists on both of these animes can be intriguing to watch.  

Games are the central element to the story. In particular gambling. Students are present in the 2 anime. Life or death consequences for Kakegurui, debt build-up for Tomodachi.  

If you're into high-stake psychological warefare, you'll like these :) 

Both revolve around games where people gamble with high sums of money and exploit the psychological aspect as well a game's mechanics. Kakegurui might not ruin friendships, but definitely a person's life.  

Both involve risk taking, blood, and have a smart/crazy protagonist. Overall creepy themed 

Twisted protagonist, surrounded with insane supporting characters, in screwed setting 

Both feature the same pattern of "I outsmarted your outsmarting". Viewer discretion is advised. This is not a lighthearted anime. 

- MCs are similar with the whole using people as tools type edgy trait - MCs both smart and clever (for what they're supposed to be) - squid game type game that involves a lot at stake 

-same vibe -both has game of wits -strategist and intelligent MC -both MC appears to be weak but they are clever -both has game/battle genre  

Survival game type as well Main character have ingenious ways to win 

1) Both have a smart main character that both does and doesn't care for others. But Tomodachi Game takes it a bit further 2) Both have the main characters and their party try to complete games that requires the MC to think things through logically. 3) Both have a big organization that runs the games that the MC is trying to take down. 4) They both give off similar vibes. I know that's hard to explain, but when I was watching this I could see a easy-ish transition to Deatte 5-byou de Battle.

The MC in Tomodachi Game gives off strong light yagami vibes. In all honesty, I think that if you liked Death Note and are willing to stick to Tomodachi Game for a few episodes before it gets real good, you're going to love this one 

It is a good anime there is only season 1 though. but if you see this anime you will love the main chararacter he is evil and has decieved lot of people. I hate the fact that this anime is so underatted. It deserves more audience. 

High school kids playing psychologically intense games controlled by a mysterious organization.

Both shows have high schooler playing in dangerous games with high stakes.  

These two animes present a similar plot where a group of friends finds themselves trapped in a certain place where they need to play and win the game to survive. Moreso, they need to apply strategies and critical thinking to gamble in every high-stakes game. The protagonists' trust in each other is tested in these animes.  

Both are about a group of friends trapped in a game. There is one main character(Arisu in Imawa no Kuni no Alice and Yuuichi in Tomodachi Game) who is pessimistic about their current life. But both of them are very smart and good at problem-solving, which leads them to a new stage of the game. 

To be honest, I reccomend the live action over the anime, its way better imo (for alice in borderland) both have people forced into survival games and lots of unique characters, and the characters go through a series of games and theres also mastermind(s) Both Yuuichi and Arisu want to destroy the "game" Arisu (borderland) isn't really a character like Yuuichi (tomodachi) 

Both anime’s are involved in dangerous games to pay off their debt. Both series leave us in the depths of hopelessness before surprising us with an unexpected play by the main character. They are both suspenseful and emphasize philosophies tied with greed and money. Both teach us the bad side of society and the true desires of the people around us, with betrayal and deceit. All in all both kaiji and tomodachi game keep us on the edge of our seat as we watch the main character jump hurtles to try and solve the hopeless situation they find themselves in.  

Involves smart main characters who are dragged into high stakes games to pay off their debt. Both are pretty much the same except Tomodachi Game is like a newer version of Kaiji. 

Both have relatively young mc's who are intelligent. They are both dragged into "death games", which make them question their peers and their loyalty. 

Both anime feature similarly convoluted psychological games in an environment that pits friends or sudents against each other in a high-stakes setting. 

Both anime include solving problems, and finding or perhaps even solving your way out. Main character may not be Ayanokouji, but character has an understandable personality. 

even the games are likely the same. Both of the mc's are mysterious.  

'friends' but TOW is in the softer side of life-risking games with more comedy and more drama 

Death-game scenario. Future Diary (Mirai Nikki) is definitely more graphic. Tomodachi Game kind of has a mystery aspect to it when trying to solve certain scenarios (if that makes sense). 

they both share a very similar main character and with a main tone of manipulation this is a must watch for anyone who liked classroom of the elite.
