It's not entirely fair to base off a review in relation to something else, which I won't do entirely, but I will get into later.

Miracle Star is a comedy I didn't really have much reason to enjoy. It's dry and lacks any kind of spark for it to have some kind of quality one would watch throughout. It ends up being a bunch of stale ideas throughout some absurdly long duration. I know I've only seen the first episode, but one must also understand that this anime has no reason to pull a 180 ... on the viewer, because episodic comedy doesn't operate like that, and if it did change, then I'd be even worse now, wouldn't it.

The production here is pretty basic too, only appealing to satisfy the basics of general cartoon design. It has a mix of 3D and 2D that isn't jarring though, so I thought it did well with that.

Now, as we should know, this "thing" is a rip-off of TAWOG. Borderline carbon copy. I'd recommend TAWOG to all looking for a good cartoon that is actually funny, in fact, it's so funny, it is self-aware enough to make an entire episode on the existence of Miracle Star and how it copies everything it does. The rip-off just never wins. So whilst Miracle Star is just some cheap copy that should get a 4/10 and we should be on our way, you have to admit that one will lower their score due to the fact that there is something exactly like this but infinitely better.

2/10. It's not coming back for good reason.
