Gensou Sangokushi: Tengen Reishinki

When you try to look for new anime and when you see a bad score on an anime and try to see why is it bad. This review might be hate but I was honest write this.

Story: I don't know what is going on and it seems boring and all I am hearing is that they talk no sense of what they are doing.1

Art: I will say it is good but I don't see any special thing about the character and I don´t think the studio of this anime put so much effort to make this anime good.1

Sound: It's good but hard to hear it ... and the opening and ending sound is not bad.4

Character: I don't see anything special and they talk like they don't know what will happen in the war and each character has no interesting story about themselves.

Enjoyment: It was so boring and it was just war and there was no plot going on and there was nothing interesting going on that you might enjoy it.

Overall: Don't spend your time on this and it gets a score of 2 because of sound. If you want to watch it because you love war or something else then watch it but I won´t recommend it to anyone because nothing is really so interesting about this anime and it is not even fun anime to even watch.

Realm of Meh.

Fantasia Sango: Realm of Legends is y’know, there. It’s another anime about a god (I think) sending a crew of heroes to slay demons or the forces of evil except this one is set in China.

I like the main four characters. They have cool character designs and they have good chemistry as a group (after episode 3). I especially like Ouki’s power to create spells from a magic pen brush and Shunkyou’s weird musical powers which she uses to get into the minds of her foes. Shourei’s ability to take in the evil miasma of spirits and become a demon herself is ... pretty cool yet cliché.

The problem with this show is that there’s not a lot to say about it due to its mediocre story and acceptable fights. There’s just much better anime airing this season which are doing the same thing. I can see a hypothetical person enjoying this show if they’ve never been exposed to much anime. Everything from its animation to its dialogue to its story is inoffensive and fine, but why would watch this when you could upgrade to Orient and then upgrade to Sabikui Bisco or Demon Slayer if you haven’t finished it?

I’m sorry this review is so short, but Realm of Legends is an inoffensive realm of meh for me even though I do think there would be some audience who would enjoy it.

So, note that if you want to really watch and enjoy this anime you need to get beyond episode 3 cause that's where they start to be a real team and progress on the story itself

Story: 6 | It's about 4 people that are assembled as a team and are asked by a "god" to follow the missions she has for them.

Art: 6 | The art is not bad, and it's not awesome either, it's enough and has cool effects sometimes.

Sound: 6 | I guess.

Characters: 7 | 4 main characters, all with different styles, abilities, feelings, and purposes, I really liked them and ... they carry the anime after episode 3.

Enjoyment: 6 | I watched it while doing some other chores so I can't say I enjoyed it, but it was nice to watch in the end.

If there was a significant thing to say about this anime, it's that even as a Southeast Asian, I have NEVER heard of this series before, and that's saying something. Gensou Sangokushi, translated as Fantasia Sango, is a series that was developed by Taiwanese company UserJoy Technology and ONLY exclusively released in its home country, which I don't quite understand how that would ever translate to popularity outside of Taiwan, since the game is quite popular over there.

And apparently someone at Geek Toys must've realized that this game exists, so an anime is commissioned to spread the name over to other regions, which for the ... life of me, I don't understand why is there a need for this. So get this, an anime adaptation of a very obscure game, exclusively broadcasted in an obscure Japanese TV station (BS12 Twellv World Hi-Vision Channel), and being the first new anime in the channel's newly launched late-night anime programming block. The result is just one: faded into obscurity.

Nonetheless, since no one watches this show, I'll just make this review speakeasy: it's based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the only difference is adding an evil element to it. You can either read the MAL Rewrite or Wikipedia's version for it, both will be the same informative synopsis. Add a ragtag team of people to hunt down evil spirits known as the Wangliang, and that's just it. It's dull, boring, even to the point of being a sleeping fest, and it's even a miracle that I've followed this from start to finish.

It honestly feels a waste when something good is used for an obscure show like this, and it lies with the OST. Machico's OP "ENISHI" and LACCO TOWER's ED "Uso" are honestly songs worthy to be listened to on its own. It's just that the use case here, I can't fathom the belief that such great songs are used for an obscure anime in this state.

Just take my advice: watch any other show, even if it's good or bad trash, and forget that this show ever existed.

Story (2/10):
It feels like a typical shounen battle fantasy anime, for the first few episodes, it's just characters "I will betray you, so I will kill you, even though in my party, so I will be very sad if I succeed, but I am still going to do it.". Then after that period, around episode 9 onwards, it got better, it revolved more around the world they are in (+ world building point), but each episode feels very pointless, most of the side characters introduced never comes back again, or even if they do, serve barely any purpose. The ... problem with the plot of this anime is there is no explained plot, it's basically just the humans fighting wangling over & over again, wangling is an interesting monster, but having a sequence of battles for no reason isn't something fun to watch over & over again, especially if there are no "breaks" in the middle.

Art(2/10):
I've seen a fair amount of substandard animes, but none with a tedious plot & animation quality as horrible as this. This show made shows like Gibiate, Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria(The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar), and in my opinion, even Hand Shakers, look like gorgeous & aesthetically pleasing anime to watch. They decided to cut corners in the wrong spot, the animation sometimes look snappy, the camera angles sometimes are weird, and the CGI was inadequate. But, the extra 1 point is from the last few episodes, the animation was less choppy & even though the battle scenes didn't have stunning camera angles or visuals, it was still watchable.

Sound(4/10):
The music was overall the best part about this anime, the OPs & EDs were not something to write home about, but it's still good in its own way, the sound effects fit the scenes & overall, the voice acting was not atrocious. The only problem I had with the music & sound choices was that it didn't make a huge impact on me, the music was not imperfect, but just didn't leave an impression, the sound effects were on time & do the job, but it didn't make the scenes more glamorous.

Character(2/10):
The characters are bland & feel very one-sided. Most of the time, I feel like I am watching a bunch of robots fighting a bunch of monsters, the emotions they give was not intriguing. The only good character I will say that was featured was Teiken, he was an obnoxious character, it was hard to even bear to watch him, but, the struggles & trauma he faced made this character normal, it was normal for him to freak out when he [spoiler] because he [spoiler] in the past. But one character doesn't make the characters section any better. Not to mention the side characters that just appear & never come back, those characters are only made for the plot's sake.

Enjoyment(1/10):
I didn't enjoy this anime at all, it was not a fresh idea of a concept nor was it a good take on the classic tropes, there is really no reason for this anime to exist, it was bland & boring.

Overall(1/10):
If you like power fantasy anime where the characters scream to become incredibly powerful, & if you also like the anime where the plot is overall weak, and the villains are too lazy to kill our protagonists using a straightforward way, then this is the anime for you.
