New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThis stack is a collection of anime with gods, goddesses, and/or deities. They can be based on existing beings from different legends and mythologies, or ones that only exist in the anime. Would the world have been a better place if religion doesn't exist? What right does religion have to decide what's good and bad? Are they really the guide to life? Anime either based on, heavily influenced by or drawing key aspects from folklore. Folklore encompasses the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, people or culture passed down through the generations by word of mouth and later often recorded in written form. 1. Cast is all-girl This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Just some Iyashikei(healing) anime to make your day better. Continuation of my previous list of anime series not so well known for their titles, some not necessarily underestimated, but easy to go unnoticed in the community. AnimeChallengeby
MyAnimeList
Anime reminiscent of summer with supernatural elements. More anime to breathe a little fresh air. Anime series and movies that Fujimoto Tatsuki (Chainsaw Man author) mentioned in the Magazine Switch. Could be taken as recommendations. Miko (sometimes translated as shrine maidens or Shinto priestesses) characters across various anime. Shows from different genres, all featuring a female protagonist and/or a mostly female cast doing their thing. Anime that has been mentioned/recommended by Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man, Fire Punch). The Japanese word "iyashi" (癒し) means healing, and the term "iyashikei" refers to anime and manga that "heal" the audience by instilling a calming feeling or evoking emotional carthasis. Almost always, Iyashikei stories have peaceful, somewhat mundane, and nostalgic atmospheres. The settings are idyllic with little or no conflict, and the narratives focus on personal reflection, heartwarming moments, a vague sense of melancholy, and/or an appreciation for the small things in life. List contains "surreal" paranormal / supernatural & spirits / magic arts anime. Surreal is to say that the anime are not so presentable as realistic. Their world building is just too far removed from regular "reality". They really push the limits and can't be considered realistic for the most part. So they can't go into my realistic paranormal or realistic magic & healing lists. The arts depicted mostly seem unlikely to be able to be embodied outwardly in "our" reality. |
