Scarlet Nexus

Upon watching Scarlet Nexus, I got God Eater vibes. Both anime also have a similar premise and world building. > In both anime, the world is ravaged by man-eating monster > An agency is created to fight back against these monsters > There are platoons in which the fighters are placed in The formation of the main characters are also similar > Both feature a male protagonist and a female of the same/similar age who end up having their fates tied together (not romantically) Both anime also have a similar animation to it 

Both anime are similar because: > Both anime feature a male mc and his platoon/squad > Both anime feature supernatural and/or sci-fi elements > Characters have powers and crazy weapons/gadgets I think Owari no Seraph is still better but Scarlet Nexus is still a pretty decent anime 

Both The anime are set in a 'dystopian' or 'to be ruined' future. Where the main characters are Given a kind of tool to implicate heir powers, Psionics and Cyberware and they join a group of such similar people, Scarlet Guardians and Edgerunners respectively, to fight with robotic antagonists. The setting can give the same vibe even if the rating of both anime differs by 4 stars . It can grant a vibe of a futuristic setting. 

Both are based around notable jrpg series, and have stylish visuals and action scenes as well too and intricate plots as well. 

Earth is constantly under siege from otherworldly entities. An organization is formed with task of repelling incoming attacks. Protagonist joins such organization. 

UNDERRATED !!! Opening by THE ORAL CIGARETTES. Time travel (changing past to alter future). Fighting the alien monster enemy outside while also the government conspiracy inside before the world is destroyed. Best friend forced to turn on MC in the conflict becoming a sacrifice. Cool designs. COOL SHOW 

Scarlet theme, good art, designs and fights, (Cool mask in Scarlet Nexus) and everyone got variety of attacks. Both Yuito and Tanjiro are driven to do right things, but they are newbies backed by a strong team/friends that help them so they don't fall to the enemy or to their own power. 

Reminds me of Scarlet Nexus a bit. Monsters descend and team of elites take them out. That is just the opening ceremony though. Both got really strong stories and twists behind what's going on.
