New Interest Stack
Interest StacksToonami was a block in Cartoon Network Latin America created in 2002 mostly dedicated to anime, which served as the main hub of the medium in LatAm TV until its cancellation in 2007. After the block's death, anime slowly became a rarity in Cartoon Network Latin America, slowly disappear from LatAm airwaves until becoming all but extinct, with very few airing across the 2010s. What the title says, any anime which has over 1,000 fanfics on AO3. (Note: anime with 10,000+ fics are on their own list, so if you see anything that’s super popular that's missing, that’s why) And since the tagging system on AO3 is a bit inconsistent I made a few choices: A few older anime that I recommend watching because they can match current biggest titles and rarely heard of now Animax Latin America was the affiliate for that region of the youth channel of Sony Entertainment Television. The signal for Latin America was launched on July 31, 2005, replacing the adult animation channel Locomotion. Like the other subsidiaries around the world where it is available, it broadcast anime series, and since May 2008 it began with the broadcast of live action series and movies distributed by Sony Pictures. In this case, I will present anime, which have been renewed with derivative variations as the generations have passed, this is normally done when the franchise is very successful and therefore, it is desired that today's children continue to like it. This is the third part of a collection of articles where I aim to explore the evolution of anime related music. This part of the list attempts to collect a list of most iconic performances on the "Idol Age" of anime music. List of anime that aired in Peru. This fourth part is going to cover anime that originally aired in the 90's. The stack is going to be updated if some title is missing or hasn't been aired in Peru. Many are familiar with Akemi Takada's '80s-defining character designs for the adaptations of Rumiko Takahashi's manga (whom I have also covered in an interest stack dedicated to her), but there is another person that is credited for translating Takahashi's characters within the wider anime (and promotional material) context. Atsuko Nakajima is a prominent animator, animation director, and character designer whose name emerged during Studio DEEN's prime years in the late '80s up until the early '00s, serving one or two of the roles above across its multitude of productions. Imagine you've just watched "Harakiri", or perhaps "Yojimbo", and now you're thinking to yourself: "I wonder how Samurai Cinema would translate into anime" - Next you're scrolling the anime database, and you've searched for anime with the theme "Samurai", only to be met with entries containing people spitting fireballs, and giant robots shooting lasers. Anime Series from 1990-1999. Yes that series has a game/ is a game. As I collect anime games I want to help people find games for series they enjoy. No this is not related to mobile games, maybe I’ll do a stack for those in the future though🤔 These are tied to Console and PC systems, I won’t list specifics though but searching “[insert series] game” will help you find it. There will be multiple parts coming out! Shows that aired over 18 years ago. If you watch these shows you're either an oldhead or have an oldhead mindset. the 50 TV anime from before 2000 with the highest average score on MAL. |
