Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon

I watched this thing because of other people's reviews, people were complaining about this show being yet another ecchi and/or harem.
I figured that some random boobs here and there might actually be a saving grace, no matter how bad the show would be.
I was very wrong, there are no words to describe how terrible this show truly was.
This was by far the worst anime I have ever seen in my entire life, out of all of them, hundreds if not thousands, this one was the absolute worst.
I'm even regretting now my previous 1 star reviews of other shows, like boruto, which I thought was an ... insult to the original naruto series, no, this one was not subjectively bad, but it was objectively bad.
The only thing about this show that was decent to good was the animation, but every single other aspect was so incredibly abhorrent that it was essentially a waste of animation.
The music is almost nonexistent, and whenever there is music it is so bland you won't even notice it's there.
Then there is the story, the plot, and the characters personalities, which can all be defined using the same description.
Adventurer get's godmode power to change stuff, then he has to go around and do ecchi stuff to use it, with a little bit of good ol' european misappropriation on top, because why not (even though I could live with the latter).
That's the story, and also his personality, and also the plot, that's it.
And then there isn't even really anything ecchi that is shown either.
If this were an obvious parody as some have suggested then k.. (it would've been a boring one), but it is not, at least not clear, if it is then they've failed to convey that, I think whoever believes that is simply coping for how terrible it was, because I don't see any other possible reason.
I feel like whoever made this garbage has scammed me out of 288 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
I know that I generally don't review any anime unless I find them to be either extremely good and not very well known, or extremely bad.
But my god, I have no words for how bad this was

Very disappointing show if you ask me. Does it have it's pros? Yes, but most of them are pretty minor & a lot of what I could've liked in this show just ended up being wasted potential. I like the characters (especially Nior) even though they are cliché characters, they are likeable nonetheless, Nior is a very innocent & wholesome dude & that's what I like about him. The characters that I don't like are the other male students, because they are portrayed so poorly as typical horney teens who don't give a damn about nothing else, & it ... was so stupid. The opening theme is mediocre, but at least it doesn't hurt to listen too, the ending theme on the other hand is very pleasant to hear. Every now & then, there will be little elements in episodes or little shits & giggles that I really fuck with, but they aren't really much to write home about. I would've liked episode 10 if it didn't tease the hell outa me with all the goddamn steam in da way, which left me in a bad mood, so that was wasted potential for sure. I like the LP concept, & although its executed kinda weirdly, I can get over that fast. But I think the part that left me unimpressed the most to even calling this show bad is the boring ass executed fan service, but if your the type of person who enjoys fan service no matter what, than this is the anime for you. But if your someone who has standards like me when it comes to fan service & ecchi scenes, than I suggest you just stay the hell away from this one. Overall, it was simply a bad, disappointing, big ass time waster, but at least it wasn't a dumpster fire like Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-Kun.

This, this right here, is the absolute worst thing ive ever forced myself to complete. The characters are shit, no depth and are absolutely terrible to watch. Story? What story. There is no theme, there is no arcs, it is literally what can i fuck up today. The mc is literally retarded, the animation is shit, and there is un-needed ecchi, like out of no where, BOOM tits. Honestly if your looking to torture yourself give this a go. But by far the thing that irritates me the most is that this abomination of a anime is more then likely going to get a season ... 2.

Poorly written, sad excuse for a dream of being OP and having a harem.

The story starts of with an interesting idea and makes the MC OP but at cost. And this is where the whole thing starts to fall apart. Pretty much after one episode.
People and monsters have levels but they are meaningless since the MC can easily kill enemies 3 times his level while not even using his OP skills.
Apart from the first girl who new MC for years, all others fall for him because he said a few nice words making it look like there are zero nice guys in the whole ... world.
The girls are boring, bland and all they end up caring is how to get closer to MC.
The academy they study at starts the same for the millionth time in this kind of stories: MC is hated but the most beautiful girl is nice to him and ends up falling for him.

The teacher, hot and big boobs naturally, gives MC a reward by sitting on his face in front of the whole class. Totally normal for a school.

The bath episode: can't be a harem without many naked girls at once... MC bravely protects the girls from being seen by the boys. His reward: stripped naked by the female teacher and all the girls, blindfolded and taken to bath with all the girls.
To me that is a humiliating punishment, but I guess for the guys and MC who enjoy being humiliated by women it's a reward.

The two good things about this whole anime is that the MC is not a spineless wimp with girls and actually kisses etc them and that the girls aren't a shy mess.

I hate every character. They can't draw. They can't animate. They don't know how a person thinks. Girls are just tits to rub on the MC. Guys are all assholes. MC has fewer brain cells than my dead goldfish. Fights barely animated. All money went into kissing and rubbing tits on MC.

It couldn't be much worse if it tried. At the end of each episode of a character drawing by a hentai artist from pixiv, that was the highlight of each episode. They kill us with boring fights and conversations. All characters are surface-level dumbasses with 1 job. Girls are there to taunt the MC ... with tits, guys are there to be assholes. The MC is the innocent boi that can't tell the girl he makes out with 80 times likes him and wants to be with him. Plus all the girls rubbing their tits on him are just his friends. You know, the smart MC.

I WANNA DIE.

This is a fantastic example of a great idea, but poor execution.

The first few episodes are great and totally nail the balance this particular series needs in order to give you both comedy and a worthwhile plot. I was actually impressed by the character relations the first few episodes provided. Noir, the main character, deepens his relationship with his childhood friend and they go farther than I would have thought. For having multiple kiss scenes, this anime has my respect.

Even when the other girls in the harem are introduced it felt interesting and plausible that they'd be interested in Noir. However, after the first two ... "arcs" the series quickly goes downhill.

First and foremost, this is an ecchi show. Lots of bouncing boobs, preposterous angles, and good old moaning, but somehow the show seems to have started high and then continuing gone chaste to which by the end the most erotic action Noir and the women would participate in was the classic boobs against his arm.

Then there's the comedy. Right off the bat you know this is ecchi, this is absurd, and we're all gonna have a good time. And again, the first few episodes have some decent comedy, but that drops off quickly in the second half. The show doesn't balance quirky and serious well at all. It had its moments, but the episodes either got too plot-heavy or wanted a meaningful plot that had stakes. Sadly, neither came off right and the final big fight at the end was a serious letdown.

A lot of the "arcs" in this season rarely come back. Noir saves a sick girl, but we barely see her after that. Noir befriends a noble beast, but he's in the background of maybe 3 episodes after being introduced. Noir opens a store, but the store is only relevant for maybe two scenes. Whenever something interesting is introduced the show rarely continues with it which makes the whole season fairly inconsistent, or at least muddied.

I'd recommend the first 6 episodes. They feel like the most solid of the season. The rest are optional.

Unoriginal and boring MC needing character development. The story is fuelled by a lot of fan service relating to the MC's power and that is just sad in my eyes. The story is progessing slowly and the MC is the typical annoying, dense, deadbrained, goody-twoshoes idiot. He is living in an era in which having many wives is acceptable but the way he handles his harem is straight up annoying. Weirdly enough, the childhood friend seems to be the first in line for once lol. The animation is awesome though which is a shame since it's being wasted on a very mediocre anime.

Here it is ladies and gents, the exact stereotype of all criticisms of isekai and harem anime.
Ok, it technically isn't an isekai, but it uses video game logic so I am counting it.
The premise of modifying the environment as opposed to directly fighting opponents opens up a lot of unique fight scenes... that the writer never uses.
The score I give this show is due to its competence. There is nothing inherently wrong or offensive about the production. It has ok animation, with no unique art style with decent sound and voice acting. The score is low however because I have never been more ... bored while watching anime, which is this show's the greatest crime.

Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon is an anime that doesn't seem to take itself too seriously with its premise and yet it tries to throw in some serious obstacles that our MC should be able to easily overcome but couldn't without going through some roundabout way for some poorly explained reason.

Our MC Noir Starga has a skill that's basically a universal wikipedia that can tell him the answers and solution to pretty much anything and everything (he gets a terrible headache whenever he uses it but this drawback is made irrelevant soon enough) and later he gets some skills that allows him to create, edit, ... remove and grant someone any skill and condition he so desires which essentially turns him into a literal god. He could make himself and others immortal, enhance their skills to become OP or even create a skill that allows him to alter the world and other people as he sees fit. The catch is that using this godlike ability costs LP (Life Points) which our MC can earn from indulging in his desires like eating delicious food or doing erotic things but this isn't really much of a limitation when he already has someone more than willing to do these erotic things with from the very beginning.

The cost of LP and the rate at which our MC earns them is also inconsistent, simply kissing a girl he likes or falling face first into her boobs one time earns him a pretty good amount of LP and yet our MC acts as though the LP cost to easily resolve certain obstacles thrown his way (some of which is even life or death) is too much and instead has to go through some roundabout way to resolve it. At one point our MC even went to ask someone for information when he literally has the ability to know anything and everything just as an example of what I mean when I say the MC goes through roundabout ways to resolve problems he should be able to easily resolve but I guess at that point we won't have much of a story.

It doesn't help that the characters aren't that interesting, lacking almost any sort of depth other than to become cute waifus for our MC's growing harem and the comedy is pretty bland for the most part.

TL;DR Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon tries not to take itself too seriously with its light hearted premise and writing and yet it also tries to throw in some serious obstacles and drama, ultimately failing at all of them.

This is a show that had a great premise and really really poor execution. In fact, I only made it through the 12 episodes by sort of skip forwarding through the last 3. I wanted to see the ending but it was just dragging a bit.

I want to be clear: I LOVE trash fantasy/isekai anime with OP characters, fan service etc. I mean, who doesn't want to just turn their brain off and enjoy a good romp through a fantasy world with low stakes and power fantasy. Life is rough, enjoy some anime! But the plot and MC in this story were just frustratingly bad ... that it made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a by-the-numbers OP fantasy story. with a fun premise.

The biggest problem with Hidden Dungeon is that it doesn't really have a coherent plot. I have no idea if this is just an adaptation problem, but it just seems all over the place. Almost every episode seems like a "filler" episode. Now, sometimes it can be fun to have a fantasy/adventure anime where it's just mini adventures all the time, but if that's what they were going for, they did it poorly. It always felt like there was supposed to be a story arch and character development and there was just none of that.

The second and arguably equally biggest problem with Hidden Dungeon is that we have an EXTREMELY OVERPOWERED character who uses his skills very poorly. He almost literally has the power of a God, able to change anything at his will and gain any knowledge in the world, and yet, whenever he faces a problem, he never uses these God-like abilities to his advantage, and when he does use them, it's in the dumbest most limiting way possible.

You can't give a character near-godlike power and have the limiter be his own ineptitude and lack of creativity in using it (especially with a power literally called "Get Creative"). The show tells you that the limiter is that he has to have a certain amount of special "points" to use the ability and depending on how he uses it, it costs more and more of these points, but these points are so insanely easy to get for him that, again, it makes him extremely OP, and therefore the author chose to limit him by just making him dumb. And he's not even dumb in an endearing way. It just leaves you wanting to yell at the character through the screen as you come up with hundreds of ways you could solve his problems easily.

Writing overpowered characters in a good way is hard, no doubt, it's a balancing act because if your character is just always going to win with no problems, then you need another way for the story to be interesting. But it can be done, and in fact has been done in many other fantasy stories. Hidden Dungeon just failed at this.

My opinion, it's too frustrating to watch so I really wouldn't recommend it even as a binge. I highly doubt it'll get a second season (but what do I know). Even the fanservice isn't worth it.

Conclusion: 3/10. A situational anime that can't be enjoyed unless it suits your taste. Full off sudden and unnecessary perversions. Story makes no sense. A poorly animated harem isekai, whose MC has over the top count of sexual harassments.

Story: sexually frustrated omniscient legendary adventurer passes down her skills via light headbutt. A great sage skill received on reaching certain age that causes headache unless user french kisses. Omniscient skills passed to country bumpkin: has a stone bullet skill that creates 10cm stone bullets and shoots them. Instead of using said skill 10x times, nah, let's spend LP and ... change skill stone bullet, to stone bullet large.

Tigerson's flower goes poof. MC house to be raided by FBI for all that Dryad action scene when she was getting stuffed by hornet put a point for me. Animation isn't on Ex-Arm level but quite dreadful. No shadows, single line character outline. Half the time still backgrounds. The city where MC lives looks deserted.

This was the horniest show of the season, which is an impressive feat, considering it aired alongside Mushoku Tensei. Classic ecchi harem-fest that doesn't delivery anything exceptional in story, action, humor, or visuals. This is a thoroughly functional anime at best. It would be as average and common as white bread except that even it's limited action sequences are poorly choreographed and animated. I cannot post this review unless it is longer, and yet, there is nothing more to say about this anime. It is unremarkable, uninspired, and is shameless. I do not wish to expand further as doing so would imply the show is ... worse than it actually is. The show is not bad per se, it is simply lacking in merit compared to the deluge of other content that is available.

Animations were great, sounds and musics are also good, but unfortunately there are more disappointing stuff than the great stuff.

Plot is very predictable. Feels like a lot of part are referenced from other magical fantasy series. And not to mention, too much cliché.

The MC's power just doesn't feel right. I understand that the writer wants to give the MC an OP power, but there are so little information about the power.

And the strength are also not balanced. Opponent with like a hundred level above the MC got defeated so easily. Really disappointed.

... But there are also some funny scene that i actually enjoy.

So for my honest review, i'll give it a 3/10

A garbage anime so bad it made me write my first review. The anime is full of plotholes, inconsistencies, frustratingly stupid decisions by the characters and it seems to forget things that have happened in the previous episodes such as the reward money for saving the dukes daughter, are you telling me that it's impossible to get a shop location with 100 million units of currency?, and when the MCs family does get a location it costs 20k rent, assuming it is monthly and not annual they would be able to rent it for close to 417 years based on the reward alone. The MC ... also barely uses his personal dungeon and is constantly shocked by the levels of others, man, you literally have a dungeon at your disposal go grind a bit, there is also no explanation on what the level actually does and everything seems to depend on skills instead. As much as I like the "overpowered MC" anime genre I cannot find a single positive thing about this particular one. Each episode just made me want to lower the score more and I had to stop multiple times every episode due to the frustration and cringe it made me feel. There isn't even any comedy to counterract the lack of writing in this one.

TLDR: 4 hours of memory loss would be more rewarding.

I have genuinely never watched a more mediocre fantasy show, there is absolutely nothing in this show that stands out, it is so lacklustre at barely fulfilling the basic requirements of a story, a show that can't decide between being episodic or having a plot, no other goal that having the most cardboard cutout self insert protagonist. this show can't decide whether it wants to be a fantasy harem or a fantasy slice of life and subsequently fails pathetically at both. the worst part is that it scrapes by doing everything that it won't even be ... remembered in infamy, for being a terrible show it's just that boring. It is possibly the blandest piece of media I have ever consumed, I hope this passes through the bowels of my mind, never to be remembered

for an anime, it costs approximately $220,000 per episode* and it was spent on this pile of wet sawdust and I can safely say that just getting plastered and forgetting the next 4 hours of your life would be a more valuable experience, don't bother watching this if you are just trying to pass time you will regret the hours better spent doing nothing at all

It's one of those shows which make you wonder if writers were indeed intellectually challenged or they consider the rest of us to be so. Because at no point any one of them sat down and asked a question: if he can create any skill, why wouldn't he create a skill where he gets million LP every time he breathes in. Then he can use those points to do whatever he want and become a god. But plot convenience would have it otherwise because you see he needs to look at poorly animated tits and not get horny or get an erection. You know just ... your regular Japanese fantasy where nothing actually happens but he gets nose bleeds when touching hands.

Other than that, I actually liked the art. Backgrounds are nice and well drawn. Character design is actually okay for once. They don't beat around the bush too much and behave as you expect them to. Refreshing really.

Story itself is pure garbage. It's just random things happening and they find some dumb way to tie it all in but in a way where they expect us to believe that would make sense. And of course they had to cram in at least one trope, this time it's hot springs. In general every fight is stupid because he can come up with whatever spell or skill he wants and all he needs is to look at some tits, however story conveniently forgets about these in times where it's needed the most because they need a way to add drama.

Overall I'd say skip it. It's not worth the time nor will it provide you entertainment unless you really don't like thinking.

There two types of entertainment most people would find questionable: one is represented by the average Russian citizen watching Rio's regional soccer championship (the lowest professional tier possible, played by neighborhood dudes) because the World boycotted your national tv. The other is watching a Japanese chicken-raising show on the international tv service because you're drunk with your roommates. The first you only do for lack of anything better, the other because you're embracing the joke.

Some people try to fit Hidden Dungeon in the second group, but it doesn't. Appearing in this God-forsaken hellhole means you're likely reconsidering this anime after dropping it in its ... launching season, or you want to laugh after seeing how this is bad. This anime is fully ecchi, no-story, inconsistent with no purpose: basically that beach filler episode, but for a whole's anime season. Does it mean it's ecchi-good, at least? Well, not really, it's rather embarrassing, though arguably it pushes further than most ecchi anime do. That said, it only makes sense if you have 12-years old or if you are degenerate beyond reparation.

The female characters' design is probably the only good thing about this anime, as its adventure-themed fantasy or dungeon exploring is really useless. However, as the MC gathers more and more waifus to his harem, the female characters themselves become less and less developed as there are too many of them orbiting him. Oh yes, in its very very end, it gets really interesting. That's it.

Hidden Dungeon was aired near Isekai Cheat Magician and the infamous Mommy-Isekai (Okaa-san Online) and it shares a similar dislinking of the community that's hardly unjust. However, this anime manages be worse than both, which at least have some idea to stick around no matter how questionable they are. Hidden Dungeon is a 24-minute experience for small seconds of ecchi scenes with cute waifus, does this really worth your time?

This show is like someone took a template for Overpowered MC with harem and forgot to update the default descriptions before submitting it. Its just boring from beginning to end. Nothing is new, original, interesting, or unique about it. The characters are all just accessories for the MC who is already too boring to like or dislike. I fails at practically everything because the writing staff were apparently too chick to go all in on a theme.

Is this suppose to be an ecchi comedy? I don't know. There is barely any "fan service" and the times you do get a little fan service, its as ... tame as possible. They created a character who is literally powered by ecchi interactions and the best he could come up with is ear nibbling and hugs? Then its suppose to be funny I guess like the Lion named Tiger. Or them constantly dumbing on the MC's father, but then the father immediately shows that he deserves it so why is it funny? Why is his wife still married to him?

Finally, it spends so much time pretending to explain the thought process and system of why and how the MC can use his completely broken ability, it fails to actually explain anything about its skill, magic, ability system? I seriously don't know how this is all suppose to actually work. People seem almost confused when Noir explains his ability requires him to use a finite source of power. Does anyone else use like MP, stamina, something to limit their "skills"? I don't know because the show never bothers to say.

This show is a mess from top to bottom. Too Scared to go all in on a theme or joke or design principle or anything really. So you just end up with boring, unfunny people doing generic fetch quests often for minor life reasons.

I will watch this one in only 4 episodes because I can't stand it now.
I can't stand this anime and continue to watch it because the story doesn't have anything interesting.

The reason I don't want to watch this anime is because of a lot of service life.
The characters in this anime act like prostitutes.
This anime has a very stupid protagonist.
And I hated all the characters in this anime.
It's an anime that I wouldn't recommend anyone to see, whether it's my friend.
But not for sure, this ... anime might get better with episode 10.
I have to wait for this anime until episode 10 gets better, I'd rather die first.

At first, I enjoyed this anime as I thought it was pretty funny and had a interesting idea to it. It had something going for it at first but after like a few more episodes in, you start to see that a lot of it's jokes has run it's course and it's grown stale. It base off it's ecchi setting to really keep people invested but mainly probably targeted towards the younger demographic.

There is a lack of character development and every girl just seems to be added just to build a bigger harem without having any characters themselves at all. They are all like ... a damsel in distress without having any sort of strong female lead character. So it's pretty shallow characters.

So if you want a good fantasy power type of anime with good plot and character development, you won't find it here at all. The comedy was funny for the first 4 episode, mainly thanks to Alice honestly but apart from that, it just kind of just like telling the same joke over and over hoping to get a laugh. Again comedy is subjective so if you find it funny, it might be for you.

And the last part, for a harem, it does a pretty dumb job of being a good or even decent harem. It's just like every girl just there to give him a reason to get stronger. So it's pretty dumb and lacks any real good characters. Lack of plot as it seems to care more about fan service then anything else. Trying to be all serious in the final arc but by this point you kind of stop caring already. If you plan to binge this, I advise you this is one of those anime either you watched it as it was airing or don't bother watching it at all now!
